What are you doing right now?

I'm at the gym with my son. It's 10.15 pm. There are only young guys who lift 50 kilo or so and I lift 4,5 lol. Last time I was rowing and a 20 some y o guy said: Are you cosily rowing Mrs? LOL I don't care. I keep going.

Not a good time to see a question on what I'm doing right now. I'm stewing about why I could not click on a youtube video that was posted to the forum and view it, then another and another (all of them). A popup said I had to signin through my gmail account first, which has never happened before.

A couple of people said they always were (first) signed in with their youtube accounts, so when clicking a video, it worked. I've never had a youtube account, and for at least 13 years, I've viewed youtube videos without having any kind of account, youtube or other, until today.

It said I could sign in with my Google account or Gmail account, so I signed in with my gmail login, and only then could I play the video. I then went to another video that was posted, and AGAIN it asked me to sign in. So again, I sign in, and could see the video. That is all way too much trouble to just view videos that have been posted.

And it didn't end there because my phone started sending me alerts that someone is trying to use my account. Well duh - - - it was me, of course.

Really not at all happy with technology these days. Signing out of SF for now so I can work on a better frame of mind.

I am here so I won't be there. Where is there? It's googling symptoms because I woke up an hour ago after 17 hours of sleep. I'd wake up every 2-3 hours after the first 7, look across at the time on my computer, then fall asleep again until the next time I woke up.

This has happened several times before, over the years. I am not dying. If I went to the doctor, they would find nothing. My former doctor in another state was great. This had been going on for weeks, with a top sleep time of 20 hrs in 24. So, I figure I should see him. I was there every week. Got tested for everything. Nothing. So he decided that I should drink 5 large Gator Ades a day and see him weekly. I hate (too weak a word) Gator Ade and drinks like it. I did that for 6 weeks before I gradually resumed normal sleeping habits.

Was Gator Ade being used as a placebo? You know, that never occurred to me until just now.

@MACKTEXAS That happens to me all the time with Youtube. Sometimes I refresh a few times, sometimes I search for the video title on duckduckgo and it pops up as a video I can watch without going to YT, other times I keep refreshing the page, and once (well, I wanted to see the David Bowe/Mike Jagger video) I signed into YT with my google account.

Sport drinks? Weird.

Thanks for some suggestions. It seems to be working now even though I'm not signed into anything, deleted all cookies and history, and otherwise haven't changed anything since first having the problem. I'm just speculating that changes are coming but not yet finalized.

That is Interesting! I wonder what is causing it. I'm not so sure it's unhealthy. 🤔

Oh, you don't have to speculate. They are, and it's not going to be good for us, IMO.

Of course, one can say that about anything. I love MyChart, all my doctors are on there, I can send them messages, read test results even before they get them, make appointments, etc. And that turned out to bite me in the bu**.

I go see a surgeon about my gallbladder. I tell my PCP what I didn't like about what she said (that I had a toxic appearance, meaning at death's door literally). So he printed out her report and read it. The entire thing. Just as I realized I had told her more medical stuff than I had told him. Surprise! To both of us. When I don't tell a doc something, there is a darned good reason. In this case, that my PCP is male.

I don't think it is, it's just odd. I am not catching up on sleep or anything. I sleep 8 hours a night, sometimes 9. It's worse when it continues for a couple of months because that screws up life and is def not normal.

My speculation was limited to watching youtube video difficulties, but in general, certainly everything technical will change, and I recoginze that is inevitable but none of the changes I've encountered lately have been user friendly.

My home and auto insurer sent me an email that all endorsents to my policies, etc., are available online and paper copies would be sent only upon request. I turned right around and emailed a request for all paper copies of anything impacting my policies that had occurred over the past year, then got 4 thick envelopes in the mail; filed away for my family if needed in a place where all my paperwork is kept.

My medical records are fine online, and I have those that way.

But, if I had to go to the hospital or worse, died, my family would not know how to access business documents related to insurance coverage, things that are on auto pay (none for me - I do not ever use that) and so on, in order to cancel or continue business. They would need paper, arriving in the mail, to see what all I owed. So as long as I can get it, I want it.

I have 2 days left of service on my cell phone. I tried online (which I always have done) to add minutes. When I go to checkout, I keep getting "device not found". Grr..I don't want to have to call their customer service. I can't understand a word they are saying. Guess I'll try online again later......

I'm watching a depressing documentary about the sad state of the Greek economy.
It's too hard and too close to bed time to find something else to watch, besides it's helpful to know how and why the world is so excremental. 💩
