Today is expected to be a beautiful day: 64°F/17.7°C and sunny! Too bad I still don't feel good. I would love to take Goob for several walks, and I have a few bushes that I've been waiting to transplant. I know I'm not ready for that kind of exertion, so I will just have to wait.

Normally, we would go to the gym tomorrow, but they are calling for rain, so we will be staying home. Dio is thinking about going to the gym again today, instead. I'm not sick enough to stay home, but.......
I guess I'll have to force myself to not over do it. That's hard for me! LOL! I have been wanting to go to the Library, so maybe that can happen, too. If we do go to the library, we will be going right past a little grocery store (different chain from the other one) that used to sell cups of coffee in their deli. I've been thinking about stopping in there and seeing if they still do.

Right now, there is no actual plan, just ideas for some possibilities.

This time yesterday morning I was sitting in a duck blind with a buddy....was back home by 10:30 a.m. with three ducks, put two in the freezer and mama and I had one for supper last night.

Mid morning today we've got to be at the bank to renew a CD that just expired then afterwards we'll probably grab a burger at a fast food joint and return home.

Have a mammogram today. I am going to call as soon as they open to see if I can get it done earlier in the day. I have somehow managed to shift from the day shift for sleeping back to normal. Hope it keeps up,
Good luck! I hope all is well!! It's never a fun procedure! Hugs!

I would rather have my nails pulled out, than have a mammogram!! I seem to get the same technician every year, and she hurts me really bad! This year I had someone else and the test wasn't nearly as painful. I actually talked to my doctor about going on an "every other year" schedule, because of how much it hurts me! (I'm usually on painkillers for 3 days afterwards!). Since it was OK this year, my doctor wants me to continue going every year. We'll revisit the idea of skipping a year the next time I have problems.

I am lucky, I guess. It is uncomfortable but not painful for me. You might ask about a sonogram instead.

I've ask about alternate types of test. I'm not sure if there are any available in my area, but my doctor still wants me to get my mammogram each year. (sigh)

I'm always glad to hear that not everyone has the same problems that I do. Of course, I make things worse for myself by stressing out over the upcoming test...

OMG..I'm so sorry you suffer such trauma with the Mammogram...:(

I have to tell you I have never had any pain while having a mammogram, I'm sure that if I did I would never have another one... I have mine every 2 years ..

Right well..I've got the washing being done now in the machine... and i've made an online grocery order, and that will be here in 2 hours time

I swear that it seems to cost more for groceries when I order them online... I see the prices and I think.. hang on I'm sure I don't pay that much in store for those items etc... hmmm.. I'm going to be more investigative next time I'm actually in the supermarket..

Today I only ordered 17 items.... basic items like bread, milk, bananas, watermelon, yoghurt..grapes... some fish, sausages...butter & mushrooms.. and its still came to £55.00 ( $73.50 USD approx)

Good morning, everyone. It is warmer today at 75 degrees.

@hollydolly prices for delivery on groceries does cost more here. They tell you that before you order. It isn't all that much difference. I just can't handle doing the grocery shopping now and without help from my husband, so that is what I do by ordering online. I can do shopping for a few items at the store, however.

I changed some doctor visits this morning to a later time. They seem to be okay with changing the time. We just have too many things happening now and it seems it is hard to do them all.

Have a great day today and stay well, everyone. :)

No they never tell us it will cost more to shop online.. never.. the only added cost is the price they charge for delivery which in this case was £2.99

Well I placed the grocery order online at 1.38... and they delivered 15 minutes ago.. at 4.10pm..... can't really ask better than that especially at this busy time of the year, and the supermarket isn't near me..

Much as I hate grocery shopping..really hate it, I prefer to go to the store myself and choose my food myself.. which is why i don't usually have it delivered.. also nine times out of 10.. there's something missing or they've substituted something when they've been asked not to .. and for me it's just too much of a PITA... but today I was pleasantly surprised , for the first time ever , everything I ordered was in the delivery...

if only they could do that every time, I'd never step inside a supermarket again...

Another foggy day this Wednesday, though not as chilly as the last few weeks as our jetstream is in the process of changing. Early this evening will be at a local club dancing to a Classic Rock band.

Last night was up till 12:30am watching this 87 minute long history video The Concise History of Ancient Canaan and the Canaanite Peoples (c. 7000-539 BC), that used to be several of History with Cy videos he has now combined. One of the best overviews of what was occurring in the Levant of the Eastern Mediterranean during the biblical era. Much of his research has only been uncovered in the last couple decades and overturns considerable previous ideas. Read the comments below the video to see how strongly his history audience liked his presentation and style. He makes much use of maps, that I like.

Along with previous links I've made herein on ancient Mesopotamian history, it shows a clear overwhelming pattern of how the rise of human civilizations has caused endless wars, death, and misery due to wealth and power elites. And nearly all these city states and kingdoms used a long list of phony religious "gods" to manipulate their peon populations to go along with their murderous wealth and power oriented ambitions.

Morning SFers! It's a little after 10 AM here. I've been on cookie duty since 5 AM, but took a break for breakfast and to check in with all of you.

Lovely day here again. Breezy with a forecast high of 78°. If I find the time I'll throw in a load of laundry later on.

Looks like all is well with everyone so far today. Make it a good one, Peeps! It's the only December 17, 2025 any of us will get.

Thanks Dolly. I know that I'm an exception and other's don't go through what I do. I do wish that I could skip a year, but I will do what my doctor thinks is best. Fortunately for me, I know him well from working at the hospital, and we are on good terms. I can probably talk him into every other year, if I really tried. 😉

Trila, have you had breast problems in the past.? I only ask because the actual official time between mammograms is 3 years... and only if you've had a scare or cancer do they suggest a gap of just one year !

@againstthegrain , much of the time I am about five steps behind on this form. I am just now seeing your photos of the moose and the eagle. Absolutely gorgeous. How very fortunate you are to be able to see them first hand.

Do you have livestock to care for, or the responsibility of somebody else’s livestock? I know you know how to prepare for the cold, but the cold you folks are experiencing near the Canadian border is absolutely brutal. Prayers for all of you to be safe and be warm.🙏🤠🙏🤠
Thank you. I do put out a mineral saltblock for deer and elk, but otherwise I just watch and some times talk w the elk. I'm in south central Idaho far from the Canadian border, but it's usually colder here in the Great Basin than up 'narth. I've seen temps in the mid-30's below 0°F, but not in a long time.

Do you know Idaho news , Nate Eaton ?

Maybe you could start with every 1.5 years.

I’m on a yearly schedule. If there’s an issue, it’s followed by an ultrasound. Luckily for me, there’s no discomfort.

Ugh, we're in a blizzard warning. Winds up to 80 mph (129 km/h).

This is why I don't venture beyond the city boundaries in winter, especially with a 20-year-old car:

I'm tired of winter already.

My younger daughter and her boyfriend are coming for an early Christmas pizza/movie/gift exchange before they head out of town (to warmer climates) for a week. Fortunately, they are local!

Nope! No breast problems or family history...that's part of my argument for going every other year. The standard here is to be tested every year.

I'm not sure about the details, but I'm thinking that the insurance companies wouldn't approve every 1.5 years.

However....it's one year from the time of your last test. So (theoretically) I could just push my tests up by a few months. If I do that, though, then I miss having the results at the time of my annual check up.
