Do you visit a stylist, hairdresser, barber regularly?

And do you “do” your hair every day?

I go every 6 weeks for a trim. My hair is weird, the top part of my hair is straight, but it’s wavy underneath, soI keep my hair short and layered to accommodate that.

It’s not oily like it used to be so I only need to wash it a couple times a week. Then for my “do,” I either blow it dry into its usual style or if I have time I’ll style it wet and let it air dry, then brush and fluff. It brushes into its usual style pretty easily on the days I don't wash it.

Ron hasn’t been to a barber in years. He has a set of clippers and he buzzes his head every week or so, then puts on a guard to trim his beard, and he’s done!

I go to a hairdresser about every eight weeks for a trim. I do not have, and never have had, any hair styling skills.
If I want to make more of an effort to look nice, I stick some Velcro rollers around in my hair when it is damp and let hair air dry. This is to give my hair some volume.

My hair style is very much like yours in the picture above.

I go once every 2 months to pay for my son. I never go myself. Way too expensive. I cut it myself. It used to be easy long all at one length, ponytail, cut, ready, but I got too old for it and now I cut it a bit 80s style/ shag. I get better at it. My son's hair dresser said it wasn't that bad.

I have a standing appointment every 3 weeks on a Thursday, except I had to go yesterday instead of today. I go to a female barber and her kids are in a Christmas play in school today (Thursday) during my usual time, so she called and asked if I could come in Wednesday. I said sure. For her, I would do most anything. It’s too bad she has a boyfriend and is 33 years old, otherwise, ……………………..

My hair has thinned on top without worsening towards baldness and remains mostly light brown with little gray. Prefer the Einstein look since retiring that just requires washing out all oils for greatest electrostatic effect. Easy self cutting, so a mini rubber band can barely tie it behind, thus down to chin to free hang. Have shown this photo herein before.

Old school barber shop about every month or so. Cash only, mostly men frequent the joint although the occasional woman shows up with a son in tow. Hunting, gun and auto magazines to read while you wait. Lots of tall tales, lies and general BS passed around. Much like the barber shops of my youth except the prices are higher and there are no pinup calendars on the wall.

The hairdresser here has magazines too. When my son was young he was reading em. One is a gossip magazine called Privé which means private. He says: Why is it called Privé? Everyone can read it.

I spent 30 years in the service. I go to a barber. I don’t even know what a hairdresser is? My hair doesn’t need a dress and yes, I still have a full head of hair. And, no, I don’t keep it buzzed, but it is short, however, I can part it, (barely).

I like the hair in post 9. That Einstein look would make me look bad enough that maybe I could walk around Times Square at Broadway and 42nd St without getting a shank stuck in me.

I used to be a hair fussy but in the last 10 yrs or so I let it grow. I get it cut or trimmed every year. Now it is to my waist, straight and I keep it clean and staight. In the summer I wear it up with clips because of the heat. I really like it this long and plan to keep growing it.

I quit going to the hairdresser back in 2020 when Covid hit. I bought a Wahl clipper set and a 2" guide attachment and I've been doing my own hair for 5 yrs now. I get lots of compliments on it when I style it nice. People are often surprised that I do my own hair. It's not perfect but it beats paying a fortune for a trim by hairdresser that's looking at everything but your hair while she's cutting it.

I blow it dry and style with my hairbrush and then hit it with some hairspray and I'm good to go.
