I know it is from a medication that I take at night. My mouth gets so dry I almost choke. I drink lots of water but then I have to keep getting up during the night to use the bathroom.

Anybody dealt with this? What did you do?

I had that problem with a medication a few years ago. The doctor recommended a product called Biotene that has a few items for dry mouth....mouth wash and lozenges. I think they also had a mouth spray. It helped.
Thank you! I've never looked for that before but I will.

I started taking cayenne pepper many years ago for several reasons.

One of the unexpected benefits was increased saliva production.

After head and neck radiation therapy I suffered from a severe dry mouth. The cayenne pepper relieved the symptoms completely.

I don’t suffer with a dry mouth , but I use ice in summer in my drinks ….I tip the cubes into the clean small kitchen sink I line with a new chux or paper towel (I’ve got a big double Kitchen sink ) I give them a hit with a small meat tenderiser and they …..shatter ~ then I put the ice in a Tupperware container, in the freezer ~ for as needed use.

At times I use a deep plastic bowl to do the same …

there'a a mouthwash that helps dry mouth..

For dry mouth, the best mouthwashes are alcohol-free, moisturizing, and contain ingredients like xylitol, such as Biotene Dry Mouth Rinse, ACT Dry Mouth Mouthwash, or Oral-B Dry Mouth Rinse, which soothe tissues, stimulate saliva, and provide lasting relief from dryness and discomfort. Look for products with fluoride for cavity protection and avoid harsh alcohol, which worsens dryness.
