Kaluha cheesecake sounds amaze!Fine so far with a buncha stuff to do this morning. It's warm...51F...and supposed to be 70 and sunny today.
DSIL has been in Ohio visiting his family and comes back this afternoon.
DGD asked for a Kaluha cheesecake a few weeks ago because her BF has never had cheesecake. He's been deprived, poor guy. All the ingredients have been assembled and are just waiting for me.
Her BF got sick at work on Friday, went to urgent care, and they sent him to the ER with flu. The hospital kept him overnight. Eeek. That's pretty sick. He's been home since Saturday, better now but can't go back to work before next Monday. DGD has had both the flu and Covid shots. Yay for that.
DD's work-away-from-home job...there are only three people, the owner, his helper and DD. The helper was diagnosed with Covid on Sunday. The owner is going to close tomorrow until January 2 and was planning to go to Florida to visit his family. The usual incubation period is 2-4 days but can be as long as two weeks. No idea what he'll do now.
DD hasn't had the booster this year and worked last Thursday. She got sick Friday but tested for flu and Covid and has neither so apparently just a bad cold. She was starting to feel better yesterday, thank heaven!
So. After the cheesecake is done, there are things to do to prep for tomorrow and Christmas Day. They should keep me occupied and outta mischief.
Y'all behave if I'm not around to monitor...
It isKaluha cheesecake sounds amaze!
Sounds so cozy! The Hovel is cleaned up, the make-ahead dishes are in the fridge, the sausage balls and scones are in the freezer. All that's left to do is bake sausage balls and scones in the morning, make deviled eggs and heat up the ham.
I'm jammied, resting comfortably and watching the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol.
Merry Christmas Paulina!Hello all! Just a terrific morning after wrapping my son's and his helpers' gifts last evening. I knew my son was coming home at 1:00 p.m. so I was able to watch "Goodbye June" before he came. Such an awesome movie! Such a blessed peaceful 2 hours before he came home. I hope you all are well and thanks for being so wonderful! Merry/Happy Christmas Eve.
I'm good, Marci .. taking it easy, as I'm not doing the cooking today. How are you today @Pinky ?
I got some anxiety meds in me yesterday and this morning so far I feel pretty decent. Sinuses are still an issue but I am able to sleep a little with the cpap now. Doc says we can look at the sinus thing later.I'm good, Marci .. taking it easy, as I'm not doing the cooking today.
