How are you today?

I'm annoyed at the moment because my Walmart shopper is ignoring the chat box. I'm trying to tell him something and he's paying zero attention to me. What's the point in offering it if they're gonna ignore it?

I need some coffee. That way I can at least manage a smile when he shows up with my stuff.

Slept pretty hard last night but was awaken by a friend from work texting. Oh well.

@MarciKS I'm really curious about ordering online...not so much about foods that are packaged but mainly about produce. Are they careful about sending good produce...not bruised, overripe, etc?
it depends on the shopper. most of the time i get good product. some of it is through no fault of the shopper. like if i get a bag of apples, they look ok on the outside but they're already half rotten on the inside and that's more of a shipping problem.

I'm doing well today; been busy enough that the day is getting past me. I didn't like the PC game I tried out yesterday, a mystery, find-the-clues, type. I prefer time management games so, trying a new one in a series I have today. Well, maybe, if I get to it after wrapping, which I'm looking forward to.

I've been wanting to get back to chess and so loaded one of my PC chess games which has quick puzzles I can work on, e.g., "Find the move to put black's king in check." Chess puzzles and Fantasy Mosaics (a sudoku-type game) are my brain exercise games.

Son and I are wanting to get back to playing chess together, but the stars have to align.

Hope everyone is feeling good this day.

Barbie dress?? *ears perk up* What for? Doll? Human? Explain yourself woman!
You crack me up, girl! :ROFLMAO:

In this case, I'm literally making clothes for my Barbie dolls. :)

I have though, when daughter was about seven, made a Barbie style flared dress for her from a Barbie for girls clothes pattern. She wore it when we took her Girl Scout Troop to see The Nutcracker at Christmas. :)

Will my 72 year old wife ever be finished with decorating the house and garden? And then comes baking cookies for the neighbors, and finally preparing the Christmas dinner for the family. I wish I still had her energy. BTW, we bought the Olivewood Nativity Scene in Jerusalem when we visited the Holy Land in 1998: one week by car all over, and one week in Jerusalem. I am Lutheran and my wife is Catholic. Because there was no Lutheran service in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, I joined my wife in the Catholic Holy Mass. At the place where Jesus died, I thought religious denominations don't mean anything.

Your decorations are really sweet. ❤️

@Georgiagranny here are a couple pictures of the head lettuce I got today as an example:

Keep in mind that this is pretty much the norm for head lettuce in KS. I have found however that the female shoppers do a little better job of picking nicer heads. Also depends on what's left of the stock too. I generally have very little trouble with it. Mostly the bags of apples are a larger issue.

I hope you all are well. I have to get this off of my chest. I am so damned sick and tired of having to wrap my child's gifts for many years now. I buy the gifts w/o any participation from my husband at all. My son is an Autistic adult at age 27 but I have to make it fun for a 5-year-old mentality. Over and over and over again. My husband doesn't understand how draining it is for me as isn't partaking at all because Paulina will take care of everything. Sorry, my husband picks him up from his 24/7 care facility and drops him off to boot. My husband is a good man but I'm just so, so very tired and I thank you for listening.

GOD I'm tired. Much love to you all. Really shitty of me (or crappy) in case I'm not allowed to use such word, but I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas together. Tis true.

@Paulina No need to apologize! Vent all you want/need to. I've been having a pity party for the past two days and feel like Debbie Downer at a time of year when we're supposed to be all cheery and smiley and full of Christmas spirit.

All we can do is all we can do.
