I saw LV take 2nd in the Super-G last March here in Sun Valley. However there is only one GOAT and that's Mikaela.

The streak was broken today, Shiffrin finished 2nd in World Cup slalom at Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.
Still remember Frans Klamer I think it was and that epic down hill run in the Olympics where the commentators were going nuts.

Oh, yes, Franz Klammer. That run was almost suicidal....he wasn't going to settle for the Silver, so it was Gold or die trying. And the way he was skiing, it could have been death.
Everyone was screaming.

About 60 years ago, I saw him in Chicago at some kind of ski show with advertisers and what not. He was on a small island stage talking to a crowd and answering questions. A woman in the crowd who was dressed to the nines asked him if he would like to go to a party after the show. He laughed it off and didn't respond, at least not at that time. He was the most important celebrity I had actually seen in person at that time of my life.
