Notes from Pappy's diary

All the cars are covered with snow this morning. Not enough for the plows to be out but maybe an inch or less. My wife is still sleeping and it’s 21 degrees out. Good day to sleep in.
I would have loved to have slept in myself but I was having a hard time breathing. This cold weather is kicking my COPDs ass real good the last few days. I’m fighting it with my meds but they can only give relief just so much.

Now for happier news. Daughter and SIL came over and brought us KFC for supper. We haven’t had any since we left Florida. It was so darn good and we have enough left for lunch. So we will be staying inside as much as possible until we get feeling more normal again. Thank god for Amazon. I signed up for their Prime credit card and they deposited $250 in my rewards. Look out everyone..inside shopping today..😊

Would wearing a mask when you go out help to take the edge off during the coldest weather. 😷
 
Sure got cold last night. 16 degrees out there right now. We set our temperature 65 at night and the place got so chilly I pulled up the comforter to get warm. Need to get a grocery order in and somehow pick it up at store. Thinking maybe I should rejoin a delivery service but they do add a lot to the bill, plus tip.

Had a better breathing day yesterday, but we did stay in and watched the parade and Rose Bowl. Disappointing to say the least. Have a good day folks. Pappy

Pappy the supermarket delivery drivers here are not allowed to accept a tip.....

here delivery can be free.. or as low as £2.99.. depending on what time of the day we choose to have the groceries delivered.

We can also sign up for a monthly service.. or annual service for as little as £3.99 per month for deliveries off -peak , that's after 3pm....
