I always acknowledge responses to my posts with a like, or other.

I haven't gone back to see if any likes I gave disappeared later. If you click like to a post, then you click it a second time, that will remove your like, so be careful to only click like one time if you want it to stay.
Yes, I see that, but I am not doing that.
I can go back to the post a day later or more and my acknowledgement does not show.

Yes. That happens to me also. I’ll click likes then hours or days later the likes are gone and not by anything I’ve done. Occasionally though I’ve cancelled out my likes by clicking on the post twice. This is when I don’t realize that I’ve followed the thread already.šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

I think I might have experienced that. Not more recently though. I noticed this, in the past, on music videos because I revisit the pages during my next post. But again not in the past few months.

Maybe the forum isn't convinced and wants to verify that I really liked the post.

@Bretrick, does it happen on cell phone or a PC/Laptop?
I only use a laptop.

I thought there might be an issue with me only. Your experience tells me otherwise.

For months now, my likes disappear so I have to relike the response.
Sometimes I have to click the like button 3 times for it to even show on the post.
Anyone else having this issue?
Yes, that has happened to me several times. The first time, I wondered if I was imagining that I had liked the posts. After that, nope, the likes really have disappeared and I have to do them over again.

YES, occasionally my likes etc. on others posts do disappear. I have
noticed this on both my iPhone and also my laptop.

It happens more for me, when the orange horizonal lines are
in motion on my screen.
It is weird.
Even on this post, every like I have given has disappeared and I have had to re-like.
Sometimes even 2 - 3 times.

When you get those horizontal lines that means your internet connection is lagging and some steps in the refresh can go incomplete depending on what needs to be done.

Its a sign that there is heavy traffic over your connection and that its waiting for a break in the action to be able to complete all steps. This may get interrupted and left in an incompleted state.

I have never had horizontal lines..
But maybe "heavy traffic" might be the cause.

You'll only see the horizontal lines on a cell phone which receives the internet directly and wirelessly.

PCs & Laptops receive the internet in a secondary way that hides any traffic tie ups. The only thing you're aware of is slow performance.
I see the orange horizontal on both my laptop and iphone. It's odd, that is for certain.
Been this way off and on for over a year with the orange horizontals.

My phone is new, my laptop is new, had this occur on both prior iPhone and laptop.

I even changed my internet carrier. No change.

Anyway, back to 'likes' :)

Im not sure what makes your laptop experience different then.
Could be the internet browser. Dunno.
