On day 10 of the Iranian revolution, the Ayatollah has fled

...and the Iranian people did it all by themselves. They've got a ways to go...phase 2....but a win is inevitable at this point.

It's expected Iran's exiled Crowned Prince will return soon. Israel is standing by with military assistance if Iranians request it, and Britain and the US are standing by with food and medical aid, as well as military assistance, mainly organizational, if the Crowned Prince requests it.

Good news for Iranians.

Let's hope they are able to build a new society that is not a theocracy. It will not be easy.
They had a Constitutional Monarchy before the IRGC took over. That's the style of governance the Iranians want back. Their Crowned Prince has made at least one speech (via video) every day since about day 5 of the revolution. He's been extremely inspirational.

Today, the police force in a major city (that I can neither spell nor pronounce) laid down their weapons and joined the revolutionaries, starting a domino effect. Even though they've been starving, the people burned down a huge warehouse full of food that the Ayatollah was hording. That's incredible fortitude, man.

I'm watching this thing unfold live on YouTube. It's so cool!

I heard most the followers of the ayatollah that helped propel the uprising that led to the US embassy seizure in the late 1970s were young. So every generation since has been groomed to accept radical policy wether it be from religious or political extremists.

These uprisings seem to run out of gas and where more of the sos winds up filling the tank

I see a chink of hope for the future world that me may not be part of!
the future world that >me< may not be part of!

Did you mean "we" ?

If so, did you mean Australia? Or seniors?

If you're talking about >you<, why would you not be a part of the future world? Because you'll be gone? ...that's accurate, but I'm trying to get your meaning.

I haven’t seen any news reports that the Ayatollah has fled.
No one was positive as of late last night. He had a helicopter on standby, but it didn't go anywhere. His personal plane hasn't left, either, but that makes sense...he probly thought it'd be shot down or something. Some suspect he left by car, some say he's hiding somewhere in Iran but I doubt it.

The Iranian military and police have defected to the revolution. The Iranian Crown Prince now controls the Iranian army. The people took Tehran yesterday.

This was live-streamed and then posted on YT an hour ago. It's nearly an hour long, but no one has to watch the whole thing, of course. This guy is an Iranian living in Britain, his father still lives in Iran, and he has reporters and friends there who keep sending him recordings.

Those youngsters were devout Islamists and I don't doubt they will be for life.

There have been several uprisings since the Islamic regime took over and they all petered out once the shooting and torturing started. This is the first time the people did not give up.

I always preview videos before I post them. I didn't do that this time, so if it violates SF rules...my bad. I apologize.

If he was in the bunker (caution, pure speculation and imagining on my part ahead) and couldn't/didn't get away in time, I find myself wondering if a repeat of a Führerbunker scenario would be an option.
