The frarance of Old Spice aftershave is subjective, its marketing campaigns have undeniably been a significant part of its brand identity and cultural presence for decades. The product's scent has often been described as classic or nostalgic, typically featuring notes of spice, vanilla, and musk. However, the true impact of the brand in recent times is widely attributed to its critically acclaimed and highly successful advertising, particularly the "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" campaign.

In my twenties, at an appointment at my doctor for some insurance requirement I had to have to obtain a morgage, Doctor said: "Is there anything else, something bothering you?" I admitted that although it was trivial, the facial mole to the right of my chin, I would like removed.
Doctor didn't dismiss it as silly, but he did caution me that such removal, may induce cancerous cells some time in the future, then he suggested that I grow a beard.
For the next twenty-five years I did exactly that. But at the first signs of silver whiskers the beard came off, the mole being more preferable. Vain? Who me?
Since then, following a gift from my dear lady, I have worn a male perfume rather than aftershave, that perfume has been her choice of Christmas/birthday gift over the years. In her working life in the ambulance service she worked various shifts around the clock. Going to bed just after I had risen, she would bury her face in my pillow. The fragrance of my YSL lingered there, it was, as she put it, her sleep therapy.
