Reflections of My Life

I made a big mistake with my new bed. When the delivery guy asked me about the legs (sorry if I already told you this) because they have 3 different lengths. I told him I wanted it on the highest one because I have trouble getting up from something that is too low. I do. He reminded me that my mattress will add height to it and it might be too high. I looked at it and said no put on the highest one. Too low is always miserable for me. Well once I got the mattress it is too high! (stupid me!)

I ordered a step stool that is made for people like me. It is supposed to be here today but maybe not, due to our weather. It is at my post office now but does not say out for delivery. So maybe tomorrow. I have to struggle to get into the bed for now. And that has its after affects on my back and shoulders. Not immediately, but later on.

I am thankful this morning that our power has not been affected as of yet. The other side of our main downtown area had a transformer explode and the residents there were without power for awhile. I think it was fixed pretty fast. So it just shows you anything can happen within this electric world we live in. There isn't much you can do with a completely electric apartment. Most alternatives would set off my fire alarm. And they are not really safe to use indoors. If I had a patio I would have a gas grill on it (if they allowed it). I can't go outside in a power outage because my elevator would be down too.

I am thinking on this prepping thing right now. Doing my research for apartments. I know what I would do if I had a house because I lived it before coming here. I think I started to work on this awhile back but got sidetracked (as usual).

I don’t know about your bed but it looks to be the same as ours except we have a double size. The legs should be in three sections and can be adjusted to different heights. I know you shouldn’t try to do it but maybe Sonny could help you. Ours is to high also. SIL said he would help us lower it. Does yours have the adjustable night light under the bed?

No light on mine. The legs to adjust but that would mean taking it all apart and turning upside down. So I decided to just use a stool for now. Maybe sometime in the future I will have someone help me with the legs.
