Howwwwdy! (That's Kate channeling Minnie Pearl today!) All is well here in Kaila's Kozy Korner of the forum? Sure hope so! Today was supposed to be the first of a bunch of mild days, but forecast now says there could be snow and sleet. Pooh! BUT I'm having to remind myself of what's under the snow. If anyone else needs a reminder:

Good morning from a dull, overcast corner of north west England. At least it's not windy and/or particularly cold. Rocco not due until late morning so I've got a little time to myself. Frustratingly though, my shoulder has decided to play up again which is restricting what I can do, it's my right shoulder too which makes it more annoying as I am right handed. I've taken a couple of pain killers so hopefully they'll kick in soon.

Meanwhile, here's a photo of Rocco offering me his octopus yesterday. I say 'offering' but maybe I should say teasing as the minute I try to get hold of it he pulls it away.

Hope everyone that has been under the weather is starting to improve and has a good day.

I'm sad to hear that your right shoulder is bothering again today, friend.
Would applying heat or cold, help even just a little?

I’m sorry to learn you are hurt your right shoulder. Maybe try putting a bag of frozen peas on it a few times per day.

You say here’s a picture of Rosco playing with his octopus yesterday but you forgot to add the picture. I’d love to see a photo of him with his playboy.

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends.

I've just finished watching mixed couples curling with husband. He is resting now and I am going to be soon after Lucius' second walk.

Husband took all the walks yesterday and as he is recovering, I'm trying to take some too. I'm not feeling too bad, really. It's in my chest, my throat hurts and I'm blowing my nose a lot. But I don't have a headache and my sinuses don't ache. It could be a lot worse, so I'm grateful that it isn't.

Boyfriend is watching West Ham play Man United today, @Pam. His brother-in-law (sister's husband), who is a Man U fan is coming over to watch with him. That should be fun for them. I will track the game on my phone.

I'm going to walk Lucius and then get in bed with my laptop.

@Pam, those are adorable pictures of Rocco! He really is a good-looking boy.

@CallMeKate, thanks for the reminder. "Kaila's Kozy Korner." I love that!

I'm home from the dentist. Worn out, but okay.
Whew. That's one more step, of it, behind me.

The weather was chilly but clear.

oh yes it's true that they change when one isn't working, as well.

It seems like there are lots more things that need double checking, than there used to be! I wonder why.

One day recently, shortly after I awoke in the morning....

I suddenly panicked, as I considered that perhaps it was a different day of the week than I'd first thought,
and that therefore, I'd just missed my p.t. appointment!
(without even calling them!)


But thankfully, it wasn't that day, after all.
Whew!


Some seemingly simple things, do not seem as simple any more.

Good morning @Kaila and co from a bit of a rainy corner of north west England. Rocco arrived earlier this morning so I took him straight out for a walk, he wasn't too keen on going out in the rain, neither was I but we did and we survived. lol

Thanks for all the lovely comments about him, he is a sweetheart and yes, @PeppermintPatty he was a lovely reddish colour as a pup...

@Medusa - I'm curious as to what the discussion was like between your boyfriend and his brother-in-law after the football finished. My youngest son and grandson were watching it too, I just kept checking the score online and thought that West Ham had won but then looked again and saw that United had scored an equaliser in the last minutes of the game. Youngest son is coming round about 1ish so I'll find out then whether it was a good game or not.

I've done my usual things and now I'm in bed watching Curling and playing Animal Crossing. My worst problem right now is that I need more tea. So, you know...

@Pam, yeah, I was tracking that game on my phone and sure West Ham had it one. I was showing my husband my phone and explaining about the game, how West Ham has had a rough year and this was a great win for them. I couldn't believe it when Man U scored in the 6th added minute! It was heart breaking.

Boyfriend said that before the game started he would have been happy with a draw, but the Hammers had that game won so it was hard for him that they ultimately drew. His brother-in-law wasn't particularly happy either as he felt Man U should have won it.

I just felt so bad for boyfriend in this. Apparently, there is some chatter on the West Ham fan's side about why seven minutes were added to the game. In the end though, it doesn't matter; the result is what it is and congratulations Manchester United for getting the draw.

@PeppermintPatty, congratulations! That's wonderful news.
