Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends.

Holy Crows, I have missed you guys!!

Whoa, have I been freaking sick! Yesterday I took my first shower in three days, kind of sick. I haven't been this sick in literal decades, kind of sick. Fleeting, "Is this actually going to kill me?" thoughts, kind of sick.

Today though, I feel like I'm turning the corner, thank gods! I am sitting up at my PC and I feel like eating things other than crackers, oranges and broth soups.

Thank you so much, you lovely wonderful people for your well wishes and concerns. You guys are truly awesome and I love you.

So, we have this in a staggered pattern in our house; I am a few days behind husband and son is a few days behind me.

Needless to say, we're missing our holidays: Lupercalia and Mardi Gras, which are today and Tuesday, respectively. So we've decided to celebrate them in the last week of February or first week of March, depending on how everyone is feeling.

I was talking with son a bit yesterday about our experience of whatever freaking plague this is and he also had those whisper, "OMG, am I going to die of this?" thoughts. Sheesh!

We did not get flu shots this year which I was feeling guilty about because those protect others as well because the protected person is not spreading the virus. Which is a good enough reason to do it. But we didn't and here we are. :/

@Kaila, I'm sorry for whatever besides the dentist was making you feel down on Friday.

@PeppermintPatty, Lucius is doing fine, thank you for asking. I don't know if any diseases transfer from humans to dogs, actually, but this one doesn't, happily.

You guys are all great and I'm wishing you a really nice Sunday afternoon.

Hey Medusa. I’m so glad you are feeling better. The colds that have been going around lately ARE wicked. My sister in law just finished a cold that she says was far worse than having Covid. She said she’s never been so sick in her whole life so I’m not really all that surprised to hear about your cold. I just hope I don’t get a killer cold like that. Good thing you finally are nearing the tail end of it.

Yeah, son reminded me that there had been some talk a few weeks ago about a nasty virus that was going around... You never think it will be you.

For real, I hope you don't get it and I'm keeping the mindset that you won't.

Good morning @Kaila and all. Apart from going to my son's for tea last night, I've had a very quiet weekend. Feeling quite tired and lazy at the moment, waking too early in the mornings and feeling tired by mid morning... will hopefully get more energy when Spring arrives. I can't complain really as we've had a mild winter in my neck of the woods.

So pleased to read that you are finally on the mend @Medusa. Seems like you've had a really rough time with it.

And. @PeppermintPatty, congratulations on becoming a great aunt. Lovely news. Wishing mother and baby all the best too.

I've been for a walk with Rocco. Although light rain was forecast, it was blue skies and sunshine when we went out. Gone a little bit overcast now.
