Golden milk for inflammation

My wife and I drank Golden Milk for three months every morning to improve our health. She also has problems with chronic inflammation.

It did nothing for us, thus we stopped it after this time.

I have never tried it but it sounds good. I use turmeric (and curry powder) on my rice and pasta. You could try it for a few months and see if there is an improvement. You could ask your doctor?

I've been eating pineapple for three days and the swelling and inflammation in my ankle is much better. Would it have got better anyway? Maybe, but I had forgotten how delicious fresh pineapple is and it didn't exacerbate my acid reflux the way so many fruits do.

Google: "Pineapple is a potent, natural anti-inflammatory food, largely due to its high concentration of bromelain, an enzyme mix that reduces swelling, bruising, and pain."

My wife took it for several years as a supplement, she wasn't sure if it helped or not with her arthritis pain. She can eat in in food if it's a back ground flavor, but doesn't the taste if it's the main ingredient.

After her discharge from the hospital, she was ordered to cease turmeric as supllement dosages could be dangerous with the meds she now takes.

I also use fresh raw pineapple for inflammation and pain. I usually just do what I call a pineapple fast, where I just have nothing except the raw pineapple until I feel better again. You have to be sure to get a ripe pineapple or your whole mouth will hurt way before it can stop the pain and inflammation.

I tried the golden milk with turmeric. It was okay, but I didn’t notice it making any difference and stopped doing it. I am adding MSM powder to my morning protein drink because that also helps with inflammation and especially with joint pain. Adding some fresh pineapple to my morning smoothie would probably make it even better !

I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip.

p.s. I've heard of golden milk but never tried it.

I've also heard of but not tried golden milk. I usually add turmeric once or twice a week to a bowl of soup (along with black pepper because I read that somehow black pepper makes the turmeric more effective).

Wish I knew if it does anything helpful or not. I also try a variety of supplements (collagen peptides, hyaluronic acid, etc) that I don't know if they help or just waste my money.
