Left: With two 4-wheel-drive SUV's, my daughter and friends were camping in the boondocks of the Death Valley National Park
that is surrounded by high mountain ranges. When the weather forecast called for new snow in the mountains, they decided to
come home while the mountain passes were still open. This picture was taken by a drone, copied from an iPhone and cropped.
They made it out in the last minute and drove home in 6 hours. Right: The first of 3 storms gave our house 1.2" of rain, bringing
the total for this rain season to 7.1" which guarantees a drought free year. I am living where the white arrow tip is pointing.

Just another picture of our garden. BTW, yesterday I had my regular dental check-up, and today I'll have a skin cancer check-up.

Left: At sunrise, I let the pups out to do their morning business. Of course, they also play. Then breakfast, and afterwards
we'll go on our daily one-hour morning hike. Right: Our hawk-in-residence. I just saw another hawk. Will they build a nest?

God loves you, and so do I.

My phone went "ping!" The text read: "Will we be seeing you two tonight? It was from the singer in tonight's band. The lady says that she' feels strong enough so we are off out to see The Boogie Bumpers at The Bluebird Jazz Club tonight.
What a wonderful evening we had at The Bluebird club, so many of our friends there too, it was almost like pre-covid.My lady watched the dancers and twitched away but she was a good girl and remained seated, well almost. Towards the end, when the band played Dean Martin's Sway, we went onto the floor and danced a rumba, much to the cheering of our lovely friends.
Today has brought a great deal of light into our lives, well our garden actually. The roots of two conifer trees were causing our patio to lift and could have been a threat to the foundations of our neighbour's garage. Now the Arborist, or tree surgeon, as I call him, has removed the conifers it's a case of: "Let there be light!"
Our builder has also been today, he relieved me of a few hundred pounds but the small repairs and replacements that he did help enhance the house and won't give the buyer's surveyor any reason to pick faults. That survey is next Monday, our house sale is moving on a pace. We still have to secure storage and find a rental home while we house hunt. Is there a term for bungalow hunt? Stairways have become a challenge for my wife.

@StarSong & @Sliverfox ...look what my neighbour brought around tonight.....
:p

2 warm stuffed pancakes... one with Chocolate, & fresh bananas, and the other with Raspberry puree... and stuffed FULL of blueberries and raspberries ...complete with a dollop of Cream ...I did tell him that you've suggested if he ever wants to move he can go and live next door to you all.. and he laughed and said... ''I'm not going anywhere''... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Did you entice him with my in-ground pool and lovely weather most of the year?

Don't forget me.. 😁

I went to the gym this morning. While in town we did go to vote, for our local offices (Sheriff, Judge, etc). We stopped for a cuppa, got our 🍕 and headed home.
My day went OK, but I'm feeling a bit off today. Maybe the grey skies are affecting me, who knows. It could also be pollen, it's that time of year. I start taking my allergy pills yesterday, I'm not sure if they actually do anything.

How about $18,000?
I keep thinking surely that is a mistake.

I should have gone with him.
He never could remember things.

Then tells me they are going to rebuild his upper jaw.
There will be 3 sessions before its all done.
We may have to travel to another dentist in a nearby town.

What I understand is rebuilding the up jaw sounds like better 'implant" for his teeth?

Hubby will talk with our oldest son, get his take on what he should or shouldn't do.

Has any of the forum members experienced a lot of dental work?

wow! that's a lot of money. I suggest that you start a whole new thread about this in the health section, because it will be seen by more people, and more who have had dentures fitted...

Good mornin' Peeps of SF... 🙋‍♀️it's almost noon...it's dry but dull..... and the temps are at 5deg...

I've done nothing much this morning..my hip is very painful, so up and downstairs is just too painful today...

I have to be at the hospital later this afternoon for an X-ray on my hip & lower back... shouldn't take long hopefully... the hospital isn't too far away fortunately , because it's painful to drive as well

However, if I get the chance, and it's not too sore I'll do some grocery shopping afterwards... take the opportunity while the roads are quiet while the schools are off on half term ..

Have the best Wednesday you can folks... 🌺🌺

@horseless carriage tales of moving are encouraging me. I realize I have a full time job ahead to get ready IF the time comes to move. I want to have the option.

Every time I get something cleaned out, in my mind, I tell DH if he comes back this is all cleaned up for him. He can enjoy it now.
I know. I just wish he would have let me do it while he was here. Alas, he just couldn't and the longer it went he couldn't get rid of one slip of paper or one empty container, or one anything.

The sun is out. It's going to be warm. I will be outside later. 🌄

A good cup of coffee goes a long way! 😆

Even though I didn't sleep well last night, I actually got up on time this morning....which is early for me! No sleeping in, for a change! 1771420972192.gif

My plans are the usual: wait for the coffee to kick in, have breakfast, exercise, entertain myself (read, play game, cross stitch), etc. I'll do some basic cleaning throughout the day, like dusting and washing dishes. It looks like a pretty day out there, so I hopefully I'll get to do lots of walking this afternoon.

Yes. About three years ago. Extraction of upper teeth with a temporary denture plate. A few months later, extraction of lowers, again with temporary plate. After a few months, the permanent plates were made. They wait because your bone structure changes during the healing period.

Two different dentists told me that implants were not an option due to bone deterioration. After the uppers were done, I switched to a different dentist. He pushed hard for implants that would better hold the lower plate in position. That would require going in every three months for "maintenance" of those implants. I declined that due to cost and time required. No, Thanks.

Cost was about $15,000.

I hate these dentures. From the very beginning, I kept telling them they are too big. It feels like I have a tennis ball or something in my mouth, and it is almost impossible to eat with them. Four hours of wearing them is about all I can stand.

Perhaps some day, I will have new ones made. Another $$$.

Good morning to everyone. It is 62 degrees and will be 74 this afternoon.

Yesterday when I was making my delivery from Publix available, it locked me out. I had to call Instacart and talked to a lady that I couldn't understand. But between myself and my husband we were able to do what she said. By the time she gave us access to Publix, the shopper was done and then she made mistakes in our order but we had no way to contact her.

Now, I have to go through Intacart again to be on Publix to order. It must have been their mistake for the lose of access but I hope I can figure it out. If I call, I hope a person who speaks English better will answer. It just was not a good experience.

So much for that. Please have a good day and stay well, everyone. :)

Rae... I understand you're stressed due to someone elses. mistakes.. ((hugs)).. but in this instance you may as well be talking Chinese to me lol... Publix ?..Instacart ?... No idea....:D

I'm not long back it's nearly 4.30.... I got taken early at the hospital and I was back into the car park at the time of my original appointment

Can you believe it's going to take 4 weeks for the results to get to my doctor ?..Unbelievable !

Anyway..it's absolutely freezing out there and we have really strong winds. All the wheelie bins which were emptied this morning and those that haven't been taken in yet.. have been blown all over the roads...

I managed to drive to the Supermarket 2 towns away.... I had to get some Loyalty points put back on my credit card which a cashier forgot to do last time I was there .. and we only get 2 weeks to get them on if they've been missed, or lose them, and there was £7 worth so I had to go to that particular store and have them put on my card...

While there I filled up with fuel... I haven't had to put fuel in my car for weeks because I've barely been anywhere very far lately

There's forecast for snow today and tomorrow.. so I think everybody was stocking up because I noticed that many people had full trolleys.. like it was Christmas...

Anyway mine is done again for another few weeks thankfully.... (y)
