Has anyone gone to a chiropractor?

Yes
Be sure and let the Doctor know when you return. You'll probably be asked more questions about the pain. (Where? Intensity? Duration? Etc.) The Doc can treat you better with good feedback.
He had me fill out a few pages. He asked a lot of questions too. The things he did felt good. After I got back up all my leg and butt pain came back full strength. I could hardly walk. Since then I have done a few exercises that I saw on YouTube. They helped.

I was going to tell you that you might hurt more for the first session or two. Your back most likely has been out of alignment for some time and all your muscles along the spine also . I didnt want to scare you away.

Your chiropractor adjusts your spine to where it’s supposed to be so all those muscles are now pulling cause they aren’t where they used to be. Doing stretches and exercises to help keep your back in alignment should really help.

After about two or three visits you should start to really feel better. Keep doing the exercises you saw online, especially if they help you feel better. When I had a pinched nerve I found a bunch of stretches that really helped me but another thing that really helped me was the TENS unit. For less than $40 you can get one.

Hopefully you’ll stick with the chiropractor and keep going to your appointments. You might want to ask him why your back hurts just as much or ā€˜more’ after a visit and see what he says. A good chiropractor will be happy to answer that for you.

Tens unit info.

A TENS unit (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) is a small, battery-operated device that uses low-voltage electrical currents, delivered via electrodes on the skin, to relieve pain. It works by stimulating endorphin production and blocking pain signals to the brain, effectively treating conditions like arthritis, back pain, and muscle strains

I have a tens unit but may get a new one because the old one is not so good anymore. They aren't real expensive either. Thank you for the tip!

I understand more about chiropractic now. I have been to several of them. I forgot what it was like. It was long ago.

I went to the chiropractor yesterday and there was a different chiropractor there. He massaged my back with some device that was heated too. I was kinda disappointed that the other one wasn't there. He was very nice and really cute!šŸ˜†. The other one who adjusted me yesterday was nice too.

I asked the chiropractor yesterday what happened to the other one and he said he's working at a different office and I could see him if I went way out there. I told him that it really doesn't matter and I would keep going to the place nearby.

It's going to take awhile to get better. I don't mind using my insurance that pays for Lyft and getting there. was ok. It took a long time though for the ride back to get there..I didn't have anything else to do anyway šŸ™‚

I went Chiropractor for 6 - 8 months, twice a week until my BCBS informed me to stop payment which is not cheap, about $150 price per session. The limit of Chiropractor came to end.n Also, the Chiropractor asked me whether I went Ortho.doc. for medication. I said 'yes' and she said both rx med. and Chiropractor to alleviate my back pain. Medicare does not pay for Chiropractor.

While each session, it seemed to improve, but after its cession, my back pain went back to the original state. It seems to continue its session about which I don't know. All depends on person to person. You need to do it even your Insurance stopped paying if you'd like a good outcome, but I have no idea what pain problem for which you'd been seeking.

I have a pinched nerve near my Tailbone.
My experience of Chiropractor did not much help, .... but the other might get benefit.
Rx medications and heating pad is more alleviate the back pain.
Medicaid pays for 15 visits and after that they can ask for an extension.

My husband went regularly. He was a big guy, and went to a chiro in Buffalo, NY who was the team Chiro for the Buffalo Bills football team. Made him comfortable.
I went twice...but I am tactile sensitive and actually was not comfortable with the procedure so stopped

Chiropractor for Pinched Nerve pain worked well for me. I went about 8-10 weeks twice per week, but for back and Leg pain didn't work.
Both of Chiropractors were good to their profession, ... pleasant, friendly and talked about even some of their personal lives.
Although back and leg pain didn't work, I have a good memory and pleasant experience.

In my personal experience, 'trust' is important due to semi-intimate(body touch) if going more than several times.

Both of Chiropractor did not take Medicare. All of bills were paid by BCBS, but all depend on Chiropractor you are seeking for. Make sure your Insurance covers all of bills before going through Chiropractor. It's not cheap, about $150 for my back and leg pain sessions.

I get Medicaid. They will keep me informed about expenses and we have discussed it. Thank you for your helpful post.

I saw the chiropractor yesterday making it my 3rd visit. He did more this time than the last. He may have used some acupuncture but I am not sure. Today the pain is unbearable again. I can't walk without feeling bad pain.

I took some naproxen and robaxin a short time ago. I hope it starts working soon.

I’ve never been in more pain the day after chiropractor treatment than before. I’m always much better off. My chiropractor is very reasonable at $54 a treatment. He’s older than me and I’m really dreading when he decides to retire.

medicare pays for me to see him every two weeks. For years I was fine with going once a month but about two years ago, I needed to go every two weeks and Medicare is willing to pay for it because I need it.

How did it go? Did it take long to make progress?
I had back problems years ago. A coworker recommended a chiro. He was not cheap, most of his clients were professional athletes, and he was upfront and honest. Did an Xray and then said, I can fix it, and laid out the time frame and what I would go through from that moment until it was fixed.

Everything went as he said, I honestly had my doubts, but WOW, I have been pain free for 10 years now, and others who had similar problems that all others suggested surgery now have had more than one surgery and ongoing pain.

Not all are equal or good but a good one when honest can do wonders if they say they can fix the problem.

The other forum several years ago, I read one person with back problem went to Chiropractor
for 3 years twice per week.
He did mention whether his back problem got better or not, .... but 3 years is a lot!
I could not walk, sit, or move without excruciating pain. I went every day for three months, every other day for three months, and then weekly for three months. Finally it went to once a month for maintenance for 3 years and now I don't go and am like new, if not better. Each problem is different and healing is not the same for all.

i decided to get acupuncture instead. i get more benefit from that than chiro care.
Same here on all accounts. Acupuncture works much better for me.

Plus, I don't like my body being "handled." Never could stand having a back rub or massage — not even as a small child. I'm fine giving massages, but hate getting them.

We are all different. I won't say I enjoyed being "handled" they call it "manipulated" but I can say the end results for me turned out much better than any back surgery I know of in others. I did try acupuncture, I did not see any results after 5 visits so I stopped going. I know others like you say how much it helps them so I am happy for those it helps.

It's difficult for me to trust people manhandling my body to make the adjustments. And now because of my age and some of my meds I fracture easy so I am too scared to go anymore. I get more relief from a couple acupuncture appts. so I just do that. The ins. won't cover them which is sad.

Yes, mine was out of pocket and was not cheap. I also agree with whatever you decide for you. No one knows your body like you do, mentally and physically so unless it's just being stubborn or ignorance, which your comments are not either of, each person should decide for themself what they feel is best after professional advice.
