On day 10 of the Iranian revolution, the Ayatollah has fled

It may have been a mistake for the U.S. not to have taken control of the Strait.
Yeah, I expected they would, but maybe it was necessary to concentrate naval assets out in the Arabian and Mediterranean seas. As far as I know, Oman and UAE still pretty much control the strait - or watch over it, at least - and since they're mad at Iran for bombing them recently, maybe we won't see serious disruption with oil shipping.
As it stands now, the U.S. has plenty of oil, so one may think our gas prices should not rise as they have. However, because oil is globally traded on the open market, our oil prices have risen along with the oil from OPEC and other oil producing nations. It doesn’t seem fair to me, but then again, what is when it comes to the almighty dollar?
True. Prices usually rise in general during times of war, though. Hopefully it will be over soon. Our Ministry of War estimates a couple of months at most. It's not a hard estimate, of course, but most of the Middle-East is remaining reasonably calm (so far). Iran hit almost every one of them, so right now it seems they're just going to sit back and let the US and Israel do their thing.

Let's see how many shipping companies are willing to take us up on this at the expense of possible lost lives. Sounds like the promised $2,000 rebate checks to cover tariffs. I'd be happy to be wrong.

"US International Development Finance Corporation and Treasury are coordinating closely with CENTCOM on next steps in the implementation of this plan."

I'm going to try to keep updated on that.

The IRGC, the Ayatollah's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, launched missiles at commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, hitting several of them.

US and Israeli forces have destroyed nearly all IRGC military headquarters and bases, drone and missile launchers, regime settlements, both above and below ground, then wiped out their navy, cut off their oil supply, and not only killed their leader, but turned dozens of his potential replacements into one big red mist.

They've lost, and everybody knows it. It's insane they refuse to acknowledge it.

But it's said the closer the regime gets to the end, the more dangerous they become. Their bombing their neighbors, even the friendly ones, and raiding civilian's homes, and shooting them every chance they get. They're even shooting their pets.

Did we send Kristi Noem over there?

They might be doing that now with a new deployment of Marines and Navy ships to the area. Their mission isn't clear yet.

Is it possible that Iran may ask for a ceasefire soon? I doubt if the President would take that deal without more guarantees.
I could very well be wrong, but I seriously doubt they will. Iran is hard-line about its' core principals and its' hatred for the US and Israel. I think they will fight until they no longer have any resources to do so.

They clearly don't care about the safety of their own citizens because their regime killed more than 30,000 citizens during protests. They are on a death mission and I would imagine many of them would be happy to die for their beliefs. We are not dealing with a "common enemy" here.

Over 36,500 killed in Iran's deadliest massacre, documents reveal

If Iran is serious, maybe they should open the Strait.

The Iranian minister said today that they are not interested in stopping the war as the United States cannot be trusted since they bombed them last year during negotiations and this year also. That is the truth of what happened.

We have gotten ourselves into a big mess and we no longer will decide it appears when this war is over. I am sickened by the loss of life for our young military members when it didn’t need to happen.

Unfortunately, all the competent people either retired or were fired. We’re being governed by some of the most unqualified and incompetent people imaginable. This isn’t going to end well for anybody.

HOW FAR DOES THIS INCOMPETENCE GO ?? reminds me of the song by Nilsson "Everyone's talkin about it'
