Gentle posts for gentle folks

Can you see what was on my feeder, a few minutes ago?
Or is it too small to identify?
It's not too small, but I am awful at identifying birds. I do know it's not a cardinal or pelican. Not a condor. Not a pterodactyl. hehe My first thought was grackle because there are a lot of those here but... no idea. Red Winged Blackbird? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends. πŸ€— :coffee: 🌷

We didn't get to watch a game last night as I was feeling tired and opted for early shower and bed. I was mildly annoyed at myself because of the reason I was too tired for a game: yesterday morning on waking at 6A to take my Levo, instead of putting my sleep mask on and going back to sleep, I fell into a Reddit rabbit hole and burned my extra sleep time. It was really just plain stupid of me. I've since taken the Reddit app off my phone; I don't need it there.

Today though, I'm happy to report that I got lots of sleep last night and am feeling well rested today. So a hockey game should be solidly on today's agenda.

Yeesh, I haven't looked at the pictures from the bird feeder yet today. I wonder if the woodpeckers are back?

What were Lucius ' opinions and viewpoints, regarding the Windy Day?
Well, he was typically quiet, but his body language conveyed a springy enjoyment of the brisk wind. :) ;) Nice of you to ask, Kaila. πŸ€—

@CallMeKate, I've been thinking about that too, about how Radish started so many of the fun threads and I've been wondering how we will fill that void. I love your pi picture! I had one of those for breakfast on Animal Crossing the other day. ;)

--Sorry about your washer woes. :/

@Kaila, is that a little junco on your feeder? I don't have a lot of bird knowledge, but it does look similar from the back to the juncos I've seen on my feeder.

Coffee?

Good evening @Kaila and co. Apologies for being awol. Not been the best of weeks. As well as losing the lovely RadishRose, I also lost two friends that I knew from Kuwait. Then Rocco was quieter than usual and not interested in his food etc. It was only when his mum went to brush him and he jumped and snapped at her that she could feel a lump, which turned out to be an abscess. This burst a few hours later but she still took him to the vet to be checked out and he was put on a course of antibiotics. He's fine now, thank goodness.

So, this morning I went to town and did some retail therapy!! I bought a jacket and a top. Then my youngest son came round this afternoon with a Mothering Sunday present for me. That cheered me up too. It's a day early but that's because he and grandson are going to Manchester tomorrow to see the football match.

I hope those that have been feeling poorly/have medical problems are feeling much better now. πŸ₯• πŸ₯•

That's a good process of elimination, you're using, Kate. :giggle: 😏
I'll just let you continue, and it might take your elimination of over a million species, before you get it.πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜€

Though I admit, that there wasn't enough light on it, being close to a morning shadowing wall, for you to easily see its true colors.;):ROFLMAO:

Sorry for your losses, Pam. :(

That sounds scary, what happened with poor Rocco! Glad he's doing better now. Sheesh, it's been a lot for you lately.

Have a lovely Mother's Day! You deserve it. πŸ€—

That wild bird I got the photos of this morning,
is a male Eastern Bluebird.
I guess next time, They'll have to come at a sunnier moment of a sunnier day, in order for their striking and unique feathers to show up well, for all of you, friends here.🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦

Thank you for that beautiful post above,
@CallMeKate

You are right. Our RadishRose left a huge, and delicious..... and everlasting effect..... on the forum.... and on us.

Thank you, RR with wings❣️
RadishRose looked for the beauty in everyday life. Every picture she posted was either beautiful or funny. She had a great sense of humour but more importantly was that she had a positive attitude. No matter what was going on with her , she had a way of focusing on the positive side. She’s encouraged me to seek the positive and express that through a positive attitude. I really miss RadishRose but I know for certain that she wouldn’t want us all moping around feeling sad about her death. Let’s celebrate her life. She was like a spark plug. Let’s practice having a positive attitude like she had. We love and miss you RadishRose 🌹

Good morning @Kaila and all. As I mentioned yesterday, youngest son brought round a card and present as he will be away today (Mothering Sunday in UK). I opened the present and card a few minutes ago and... coincidence or what?..the card has a picture of a shih tzu on the front and looks so much like Rose's lovely dog.

When I read the first line I thought my son had gone all sentimental, which is not like him, we both share a dry sense of humour and like humorous cards. Then I read the line underneath the picture. I feel RadishRose would have enjoyed this.

Well, we did get some hockey in last night but started late so just half the game. We'll catch the other half tonight, which works out because our team is playing tonight so we can catch the next game tomorrow. I don't know why I think you guys need this level of detail. πŸ˜…

Boyfriend is at family's house today, celebrating Mother's Day for his sister with her, her husband and two sons. I'm sure he's having a nice time; he always does when visiting them. :)

It's a usual day for me and I'm glad of it.

@Jules, you can count me in too with your post. Seeing a chickadee or a cardinal or... is living it up for me. ;)

Adorable card, @Pam; it does remind me of Radish and her little dog. ❀️

@Kaila, good thoughts for your tasks today.

Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday.
