This story shows that we all should check the laws
about driving licences, I too was in an illegal position,
with my driving licence, it was always my mother's
address that I used, till she died, then I found out that
if you move somewhere else, you must change the
address on your licence, within 2 weeks, for nearly
30 years I was wrong.

Anyway, here is Suzie's story.

My issue these days is forgetting to even look at it to see if it's still valid. This last time I did renew before but the time before that was an oops that they forgave.

She's lived in the UK since 1971... and said she's been driving the whole time, even getting parking tickets.. ..she only discovered she was illegal when she went to renew her American license, and the laws in the US have changed, which said a person has to have lived in the state for at least 6 months before they can renew their licence ... and she hasn't.....that's when she learned she should have changed to a British license in 1971

Now she has to take a British Driving test.. and despite having driven for 60 years.. now at 75 she's not happy she's having to take a driving test lol

I can imagine she said this all tongue in cheek because she's a really genuinely nice person

As publicity stories go, that would really take the biscuit. Suzie Quatro at 75, that makes me 80. There should be a law against it!
