Actress who got backlash for looking her age

Yes, I take it personally, being as you did not address my mention of the other posts and remain focused on just mine. Who wouldn't?
I posted in reply to yours... when you implied Joy looked natural for her age... No-one else spoke about Joy behar..so who else was I supposed to reply to... ? I've noticed this with you since you joined this forum... you don't seem to get the concept that this is a discussion forum, if you don't want any replies to your posts then don't post !

I posted that I liked Joy Behar's picture. I still do. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, regardless of who does or does not reply. Likewise regarding other posts in the thread.

that's what they're terrified of... they will do anything not to look like that in the future...look at people like Sharon Osbourne and the late Joan Rivers... they look like freaks... but they're so desperate not to look old...
Sharon Osbourne looked beautiful. Such a pity that she also wanted to be extreme thin.

As I was in my mid 20s I asked a young woman of the same age, how old she thought I was. She said "about 35 years". That hurt :ROFLMAO:.
I was once standing next to a ditch with ice when my sons were on it as kids. I was in my 40s. Son calls: Mom! Mom! Boy from his school: Whaaaaat? That's your mom? I thought it was your grandma! Gotta love these kids' honesty. And another boy was a bit afraid of me and my son said: Don't worry. She's really friendly. She can't help it. It's just her face! And I still feel like 'awww what a sweet thing to say' when I think of it LOL.

If I had to be an actress and people would want to judge me I'd want to look like ma Flodder. She's my favorite.

I saw this a few months ago, and I fear that what we've created today with Botox and fillers available in every salon, even dentist offices are doing them... mega plastic surgery as well.. and making it ''normal'' to deny ageing... is a generation now who are so afraid of looking older and dying... that they lash out at anyone in the public eye, who reminds them of old age , and that could be them if one day they can't afford these procedures...

And whether or not they ever 'look old' they will get old and pass away just like all the ancestors. It is not a helpful illusion.

I wasn't claiming Ms Behar had no work done; just that she looks good for 83.

By going to extremes, I'm referring to dispropotionate lips, cat eyes, or morbid side effects.

Some women use expensive creams and beauty products, some have dermatological procedures such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels or microneedling; some have surgical procedures. It all depends on individual choices, how important it is to them personally, and to their careers.

Whether Ms Behar has had one procedure or forty, her skin and appearance has been well cared for, and it shows not only in the still photo I posted, but on her current TV appearances which I watch every weekday.

She does look good but I don't think she should need to do so much to remain employable. Guys can age, show it and still be employable. But those still working don't wake up the way they appear in media either.

Some of us will always go the extra mile to optimize our appearance and given the way women are raised and portrayed it is hardly any wonder. I'm just glad my missus accepted my request to leave off of the makeup. Lia who is also 83 looks fine to my eye and she has never gotten any kind of plastic surgery. This was her just last week after knee replacement surgery. Not exactly 'glowing' but I think she looks good and more importantly I can kiss her without getting a mouthful of cosmetic chemicals.

I personally don't care what man or women do with their own bodies. if they feel it's necessary to use fillers and plastic surgery, then that's their perogative, their body, their decision... however when they're fooling everyone into thinking you've naturally aged using just topical creams then tat's a completely different thing .

I can think of several actresses off the top of my head who for years insisted that their youthful look were entirely down to Moisturiser and Genes... one of them being jennifer Aniston who had a lot of Botox , and fillers in her cheeks.

Again her face , her decision, her right... but she needs to stop lying to her fans....

I agree.
