Consideration for/of a New Thread: Poetry/Text/Verse

I recently posted/created a thread for 'World Poetry day'
( World Poetry day - Post a Poem of your own? - or a favourite by others )
- I posted it in the "Holidays and Observances" thread (being World Poetry day) - as I did not know where else (barring General discussions) that it go.

I wondered if consideration could be given for a 'Writing' section/thread; where SF members could have the opportunity to pen either verse and/or extracts of their own.
- Given the age base and diversity of members within the forum, I'm sure many have a story or verse in them to share = Just a thought

Yes, I like this extension of the idea. I enjoy reading poetry the most that is written by members but I don't think many write. I think there are more though who would share verse written by others. I would be happier with the types separated.

I agree - two threads would be better,
(i) Would allow the self-penned poet/writer the opportunity to post their own work (as I said 'everyone has a poem/story in them to tell)
(ii) Be it the classicly known, or one which hits the spot and means something personal to them, apt.
