I have seen about 4 now so this video caught my eye.
He explains Stink Bugs and how to deal with them.

Stink Bugs in Your House? How and why they are there, what they are doing, and what you can do.

They look like shield bugs although, the couple I have seen on outdoor plants were green. I was quite pleased to see a brown one on the lawn, the very same day as I was experimenting with a macro lens so, welcome visitor, insects are quite amazing close-up :)

Having said that, I would not be happy to find them indoors!

For the most part, I am a live and let live when it comes to insects. Especially those outside in their natural habitat. But I despise Stink Bugs and will quickly dispatch any found in the house. cannot abide the smell they put off when threatened. I’ve even found them in my vehicle.

Most definitely, avoid squeezing! My preferred method of disposal is to trap them in an empty pill bottle, easy to do, and doesn’t alarm them. Then dump in a container of soapy water to drown. They never have a chance to set off their stink bomb.

I just watched this video a few days ago.

These bugs are easy to manage because they're slow moving. It's good to know they don't reproduce in the house.

And oh yeah, this guy's a little goofy about the bugs. What do you mean don't kill them?

I thought the same thing

It’s a good thing, for the most part, they are only a nuisance.

I am also a mostly live and let live person, but I have my limits…….

Howver, they made a huge nest in the battery box of one of my 4-wheelers. It was a mess. Thankfully one of the kids cleaned it out for me.

I now have a Glade atomizer with peppermint spray in one area of the garage. It seems to deter them.

I also think the P.F. Harris spray I bought to kill the Asian Lady Beetles also works to kill the stink bugs. They really are peaceable little critters; if they would just stay away from the house.

FWIW, I think this might be a bad year for wasps and hornets. I rarely get stung by a wasp, unless I accidentally get right into their nest; I leave them be for the most part.

Hornets, however, are the cottonmouths of the bee world. Once I find their nests, I wait until sunset then light them up🔥🔥

Haven't seen any stink bugs here but the elm bugs are a nuisance. They stink, too, when smashed.

The nests here are almost always up under the eave of the roof. I use the spray that reaches from 15 ft ? away, then run, lol.

Many folks don’t know this, but don’t kill the Mud Daubers. They are friendly and kill a lot of insects, INCLUDING Black Widows.

I had to yell at my brother for tearing their mud, pipe organ-like nests out of the workshop.. I said take your pick -them or the Black Widows.

Wood Bees are also a very non-aggressive bunch — except they drill holes in the barn wood for their larvae…
