AI Robots Now Available from Amazon

The stock market has been down a lot since the AI robots rattled everyone's nerves. Just think of how many workers in the US could now be replaced by those AI robots. I notice my investment in Amazon has started to plunge since the information on the AI robots has been all over the news. I notice that, when I call Amazon, the first voice I always hear is that of an AI robot and that has been true for many years now.

It's a lot cheaper for a large corporation to install AI robots than hire human beings. Those robots do not need retirement funds, medical plans and most other benefits humans need and get.

This could set off another Great Depression like we had in the 1930's.

By the way, I notice for the last several years I can now get MEDICAL ADVICE from my AI Amazon Echos. I have not called or seen a doctor for several years now. The only thing the AI Amazon Echo can NOT do is write prescriptions. However those machines can tell me if I need a prescription and then I can see a real MD.

When it comes to AI robots being care givers, they might do a better job than some humans. I personally know of caregivers for the elderly who attempted to cash their charge's check, which they had forged. Problem is they didn't know that their charge was the former police chief of the small town he lived in. The bank's rep became suspicious and foiled his scheme. I also know of elder caregivers who mistreated or neglected the elderly person and a couple who were just so plain lazy that nothing got done.

I didn't see the one for $18,000. Perhaps it is more human like. I've seen the one on the right side in hospitals and the supermarket. I doubt these would be able to serve as care givers.

Mark Zuckerberg of META (FB) is training an AI CEO agent to help him run the company. It's demonstrating the shift in confidence and how more companies are utilizing the skill set that AI brings to the table in terms of speed and efficiency. I don't think it is so much turning over decision making at this point, but knowing which abilities AI can handle well, and which they still struggle with will be a key factor for companies to figure out and improve on moving forward.

The big danger of AI robots is that they could take away millions of jobs from workers on assembly lines and in other appropriate types of work. It could lead to the first worldwide depression since the 1930's.
It's already happening. But in the meantime, other jobs are beingvcreated, for example, maintenance and training of the robot machines.

Also coding, programing, design and tech development, customization, digitizing, resourcing natural materials, manufacturing synthetic materials, shipping, sales, and set-up and assembly.

All of this is scary and exciting at the same time. I worry most about jobs. I don't see how society can survive without jobs for people to do. Scary times.

If you read financial news, you will understand that there are specific current events which are driving down the stock market. AI may factor into the losses, but that's far from the main cause.
