Well, that's just awful. :( -I've had these scares and it's terrible. Hopefully, in the end, you'll get the equipment before you run out. Honestly, freaking medical bureaucracies. Thinking of you, Kaila. ❤️

Husband is off today and we're planning on, wait for it... watching a hockey game. ;)

@CallMeKate, I am loving those chocolate carrots! What a great idea. I'm so looking forward to the Easter chocolate that is in my near future.

I will need to pick up grocery order and script, later this morning.

All of my efforts did not work, again this week, regarding the necessary medical items. I was told a few times that it was all set, then that it wasn't. 🙁
I'll have to try yet some other way to do that. 🙄🫤

Aw, Kaila, I wish there would be something we could do to help... I really do. I hope the "just trying to hang in" soon resolves and you get some relief. 🥺

About the medical items issue... I need to start by saying I know *nothing* about how these things work, but I'll ask anyhow even if it's a dumb question... isn't there some kind of patient advocate who would be able to help getting the wheels turning for what you need and has been determined to be a medical necessity? Doesn't seem right that you're having to deal with it on your own without help.

I have a grocery pickup today, too... and at least 7 additional stops for errands this morning, so I'll be glad when it's all finished. One of those stops will be the donation place because I gathered up a ton o' clothes to donate. I'll also have more for next week.

@Kaila, I just hate that you are still having to battle for this equipment. :/ I agree with Kate (and everyone, I'm sure), in that you definitely shouldn't have to be dealing with this on your own. It's encouraging that you may have found some other avenues to try! I'm hoping... I'm hoping. Keeping good thoughts!

Ooo, I'm a fan of hazelnut in chocolate! Those carrots are looking better and better.

It's chilly here today after having been warm for a few days. Lucius is enjoying the weather and is rompy on the walks. It's nice to see him having a nice time.

I'm working my affirmations and meditations back into my day. Still listening to creepy stalker podcasts, though. Junk food for my brain. :oops:

It is a quiet, usual day here and I'm enjoying it.

There aren't any patient advocates, very sadly. So many, including myself, could use one!
Rarely have i crossed paths with a social worker, in our systems, and they were extremely limited in what they knew or did, And i mean it not personally!, but in what their jobs allowed them to do. 🙄 :(

Still, I may be making progress on navigating these systems. I hope so, and I'll let you all know.

We will have to pay full cost, for what had been covered by our 2 insurances, and truly should be!😒

We were shocked, as we had no warnings that rules were changed drastically. Between our previous order, and the reorder we attempted, a few weeks ago.

We aren't even allowed to order, by paying, from many of the suppliers. And they're not well identified as to which ones. I didn't know any of this, until very recently.
Sheesh.

Anyway, I tried to order, today, and we'll hope that is the correct items and that we'll actually get them. We got a few free samples, from elsewhere, to tide us over.

The caring and support from all of you, does help me a great deal. Otherwise I would feel so isolated.

Thanks for asking.... I'm fine now, fingers crossed. 🤞 As you know, I had problems with the arthritis in my knee then my shoulder started playing up again so I got out the ice packs, put my feet up and rested. However, I did similar to you and didn't take in enough fluids so when I got up from the settee I went dizzy and had a few more dizzy spells before realising what had caused them! I've been drinking plenty of water since then . 😁

So sorry you are still having problems @Kaila. I really do hope things will be solved sooner rather than later. 🤗🥕🥕🥕
