Gentle posts for gentle folks

Good morning to each one of you!
🀩πŸ₯°πŸ€©πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

I got better sleep than the night before.
(That's not saying much, but it is something!)

I'm just trying to go through the steps of each task, needed for today.

Made another phone call regarding those backed up medical supplies. πŸ™„πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ™

I'm thinking of all of you, and appreciating your inputs, here.

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends. πŸ€— :coffee: 🌷

My son and I have had one of our really nice chats in the kitchen this morning. It wasn't one of our trademark marathon chats, but just a pleasant talk, like we have sometimes. Excellent way to start the day.

@Kaila, I'm thinking about you girl, and sending good energies. I know you're dealing with a lot right now. ❀️

@PeppermintPatty, I couldn't agree more! πŸ₯° I am working on that.

Wishing everyone here a peaceful Thursday (I had to think about which day this was) afternoon. πŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•

What did you chat about?

It was about general life things, really. I was asking for his advice about something that was bothering me that I was annoyed at myself for letting bother me. And my heightened level of general anxiety since I've let my affirmations, meditations, journaling, etc. slip after having been sick. I'm having a hard time working back into that routine and it's starting to show up in my anxiety.

Also, linguistics, specifically my curiosity about whether the language is shifting in such a way that people are not speaking clearly and mushing over words or groups of words. I had this idea, though, because of a podcast I ultimately had to stop listening to because of this issue. Son was telling me that - that is a known issue with AI's reading, like for podcasts. It hadn't even occurred to me that it could have been an AI.

So I felt silly for leaving a comment about "good effort, but please try to enunciate your words" to a probable AI. LOL

Nice of you to ask, Patty. πŸ€— What's going on with you today? Have you, husband and dogs been on your walk today?

Thank you for your answer. I’m sure you can jump back into meditating. When do you usually do it?

Yes we have been for our walk. It was a short one cause it was snowing.

I'll check your thread for an update. :)

I do affirmations on the dog walks and meditations after toning, whilst stretching and slow breathing. I'm doing a bit again now and working my way back up to all my "things." Thanks for the encouragement. :)

(Does anyone else have emoji anxiety? I sometimes worry I overuse them and then worry that I'm worried about something so trivial that I am certainly the only one who notices. --Did I mention my heightened anxiety levels, of late? πŸ˜… )

I like that you use many emojis. I use to do my meditations while walking but now that my husband is retired, he walks with me so i had to schedule a new way of doing it.

I’m sorry you’re so stressed lately. Have you tried actually doing a meditation online? There’s a good variety of them to choose from. Most are around 10 minutes . Something that’s doable for most people.

Thanks, Patty. :) Sometimes I worry it's a sign of lazy writing, but then again, do you guys need to read me waxing on so as to express all my emotions accurately? I think not. lol We can't see each other's faces, so I suppose I'm glad for the readily available pool of faces.

Yep, that's where I get mine too. ;) I've found a channel I really love for affirmations and some different 5 - 10 minute meditations I like from different creators. When do you do your meditations now?

Awwwww πŸ€— hugsssss 🌷

Sometimes younger people mention (on social media) that us seniors use too many emoji's --- pfffftttt (sticks out my tongue!!) :pppppppppp
Then I've read where they complain about the thumbs up (y), then some say the prayer hands are actually clapping πŸ™ (even tho, they come up when you search prayer - not clap πŸ‘

Since I tend to use emoji's and pictures to communicate on the forums and in texts etc - I too have worried about it. BUT... I don't think we should. ;):ROFLMAO:🌷

This forum is especially nice, since I have not seen the grammar police yet or anyone being overly harsh about a person's posting style. I get the one about giant blocks of text - those ARE hard to read - but most everything else is just preference or what I call "the small stuff" :giggle:

Yes emoji’s help us express ourselves better.
I’m ALL for using MANY emojis.
I usually meditate first thing in the morning, when I’m somewhat lucid. I find it easier to connect to my 6th sense. I also like using the internet to help find the right kind of meditation for me.

Agreed that we shouldn't worry! :) I mean, I do sometimes, but you know, shouldn't. πŸ˜…

For real, Cali, I thought those were "pleading hands." LOL! Eye of the beholder, I guess.

I find walls of text near impossible to read and, consequently, don't. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Thanks for your kind reply. :)

I'm going to get Lucius out for his second walk in a few. Good puppy. 🐢 πŸ₯°
