Eggs down to $2.50 a dozen in US

Whenever I can get there I always buy store-brand, as they're from 'family farms' so less likely to be affected by bird flu, etc.

Huh? I hadn't heard about that..

Also, though, another reason for buying the one store brand is a couple of other brands sold in other stores have too often been on a recall list.

Let me toss in this question: have YOU heard about or had any problems with Walmart?
It was on a regional message board a few times, and when I googled it's supposedly been going on for a few years and NOT limited to one area/region- online accounts getting hacked AND cards getting skimmed in stores..

Skimmers were found at the checkout in a couple of local Walmart stores last year along with a few local gas stations.

I havenā€™t heard anything in recent months.
