One of my faves was about yesterday. LMS Stanier Black 5 No45407 'The Lancashire Fusilier' flying through Lancaster looking glorious!

You have captured the steam train engine perfectly, it's exquisite.
Even standing still, the steam engine breathes. You hear the faint, rhythmic hiss of safety valves and the deep, resonant hiss of escaping steam, which sounds like the engine clearing its throat before unleashing immense force.
The air around the smoke-box is thick and shimmering with heat and the heat radiating from the smokestack warps the scenery behind it. The scent is unmistakable, an intoxicating blend of hot oil, burning anthracite and acrid, metallic smoke.

35028 Clan Line - a fine loco and still going strong after a boiler replacement a few years back :)
I'm impressed, then I remembered that each engine has a unique number, you simply referenced that number and found the locomotive. MG's & Steam Trains..jpg
This was a fun day at the Swanage Heritage Railway, organised by The MG Car Club, about three months after this event Covid caused the railway's closure, but only for the period of the pandemic. All the same, Covid must have caused countless problems, all the volunteer's hard work and nothing to show for it.
