I am finally back online after a very stressful few days—I was too anxious and depressed to go online at all—and then an all-nighter last night in what was a mostly vain attempt to get caught up. I still have piles of work to do, but as soon as I post this I am going to shower and take a nap.

I have a lot of catching up to do here.

I was vastly relieved to only have to pay for that one part for my car; the dreaded steering wheel issue turned out to be a bent part of the fender that was scraping against the wheel well. I was limp with relief to be off the hook—for now. I have my fingers crossed that it stays that way. I spent time exploring the bus system and the availability of Uber and Lyft here, and the results were dismal. I definitely need a vehicle.

We're in the middle of a Winter Weather Advisory, with about 3 inches of snow today and about 3 or 4 more for tomorrow. Grrrr! But I'm too relieved about my car to get too grouchy. Still, it seems like spring is never going to arrive.

Anyway—I hope everyone has been well. 🌼

I've only ever had my hair coloured Once at a salon.. and that was just a half head hghlight.... so far my hair is not grey..altho' its starting to go that way slightly around the crown
I had my hair colored once, too; I had blond highlights put in. (I've always wanted to be a blonde.) We had just moved here, so nobody really could tell the difference. Then, when my regular dark hair started growing back in, people started with compliments, ironically asking me if I'd colored my hair. 😂 I was like, "No, this is my natural color!"

Lesson learned. I leave my hair alone now. No gray yet, except a little in my eyebrows. 🤞

One thing that made me crabbier this morning was an email from a former colleague who is still in the DC area, saying the famed cherry blossoms are blooming and the temps are supposed to be in the mid-80s. Jealous! 🌸

I find they do that with me Star... that's a great idea of yours to mark the place where you don't want it cut any shorter.
Back from the salon. While she did cut it a bit shorter than where my mark was, she was less enthusiastic with the scissors than usual. Definitely helped to have a physical guideline instead of making my usual "please don't cut more than an inch" request.

Our wonderful cherry blossom trees are almost completely died back now.. they were in full bloom 2 weeks ago... I stood right underneath the tree..completely enevoloped in it, and took photos

A nurse came today and said my legs look better. That means I am retaining less fluid. I hoped it would make breathing easier but it hasn't. Later had call from cardiologist office. Tests from last week show fluid around my heart. I got this call while in a store so couldn't answer all her questions. She said she would call back before the end of the day but didn't. It was important to me but I guess not to her.

I Swiffered and wet Swiffered the bathroom and kitchen floors. The wet Swiffer cloths leave such a nice scent in the rooms. I continued the quarterly calculations for my investments, which includes totals for each fund's dividend/cap gain, value totals as well as liquid asset totals. I also spent some time on Ancestry screen shooting key pages, but when I went to cancel my membership, I read that I with an unpaid one, I still should be able to access those pages, all my DNA matches and messages. I could swear I couldn't the last time I canceled. My administrator keeps a paid membership and said she will still be able to access everything for me and populate my tree.

@Babs2u Hopefully you will reach out to your cardiologist's office tomorrow (Thursday), rather than wait for them to call you.

G'afternon peeps of SF..on this glorious sunny day.... 🌞🌸

I finally got home... and it took me almost as long to put everything away as it did to be out getting it..

First I had to go to town to an appointment with my Doctor... I've got to go and get a blood test...these days we have to book. We used to just be able to go straight from the GP surgery to the hospital and get the BT done immediately . Not now, we've got to book online and we usually have to wait a couple of weeks..
He says my cholestrol level is on the border of high ( 5) .. and he talked about perhaps prescribing Statins... but we're going to await the blood tests first.. ..

After I left there..( car park was packed)... I drove west to a larger town to get grocery shopping. Haven't done any for 3 weeks.. so with all the concern about the lack of fuel for trucks to get through.. and equally lack of petrol for cars.. I decided to do a whole months worth of shopping, so I don't have to drive again for groceries...

A new M&S has opened which is closer to me than the ones I usually use .. which is fabulous, and so I went there got £45 worth of food.. then to tesco.. and not bad actually.. I got 3 weeks worth of food.. and I bought a Hooded jacket... and a Vest top ( a tank) in chocolate brown both in the sale.. the jacket was reduced from £35 to £15...

... and so the total in Tesco including the clothing, for 3 weeks worth of food was just £105.00...so I was pleased with that. I managed to get all the cheap veggies... they had mountains of it.. so plenty for everyone..

However I have never seen the shops so packed as they were today on a Thursday unless it's Christmas , so i think most people had a similar idea....and further.. it;s Easter weekend this weekend so lots of people will be going on day trips .

It was only when I was half way home that I remembered I'd forgotten to get fuel..*duh*....

Good morning SF Peeps!

Got plenty of this and that on my plate today - including more business spreadsheet work. It can all simmer on a back burner for a couple of hours though. It's early yet, my second cup of coffee is still half full, and I've barely begun catching with all of you. A woman has to keep her priorities straight, you know.

A little chilly here today with a high of only 71° so jeans, long sleeves and a cardigan this morning. Starting tomorrow we'll be running between the mid 70s & low 80s for the next ten days.

Today it's overcast and cold (around 60F degrees) but next week, it will be again in the 80's. All the
flowers on my morning walk cheered me up and made me feel happy. Nature is boundless beautiful.

Sixty-five was my age of discovery ==> I discovered I was "over the hill."
These days, my idea of "a night out" is sitting on the rocking chair and dreaming of my better days.
At my age, "being lucky" is finding my car in the parking lot.
