There must be forum templates because the Encyclopedia Titanica forum has almost the exact same look and layout as SF.

As others have mentioned, that forum runs on the same software(XenForo) and they look alike because they use the same theme package.
A computer forum I've been a member of for over 20 years( overclockers.com) migrated from vBulletin to XenForo several years ago.
The admin there chose the Dark Mode theme, as most members there are youngsters, and that's what they prefer.

I just took a look at some of their posts and it is apparent that they allow political discussions there. No thanks! I don't need that nastiness in my life!

you don't get a lot of choice over there anyway...unless you're agreeing with admins' Politics.... and religion
There are some genuinely nice people on there..some horrors ... but overall the admin spoils it which is why there's not the big membership like there is here..

I'm glad to be able and say that first time around on
Seniors Only Club, I experienced no bad times. I do
though stay clear of any topics, political, otherwise
threads that I could perceive as too tense, so that works
for me at least. I think that works best on any forum I
am or have been a member of.

Some people can't express their opinions without throwing out insults. That's the problem with most political debates... they often turn into insult-fests. I don't need that in my life.

Interesting. Sure does look like SF. I wonder if any of their members are aware that their forum looks like ours. I noticed that they are not as busy and have a whole lot less threads, so it makes me wonder how long the site has been in existence. Also I notice that people are using their real names (or made up real names), so wondering if that's required to join the forum.

It's very weird that pretty much everyone has a first and last name! It doesn't seem nearly as organized as SF, or as active! Based on the warnings above - I doubt I'll participate much. I really like it here!
