One million square ft, 6 alarm warehouse fire in Ontario California

Apparently an unhappy employee video taped their arson setting piles/rows of paper product on fire. The flimsy plastic wrap along with the paper product helped fuel the fire. The employee works for a contractor that stores and distributes the product for Kimberly-Clarke.

The video is stunning and shows how flammable plastic wrap is.

On your links I can't see any vido, altho' I can read the story....

I've gone to youtube to get a look at it on the news.. and OMG... what a terribly fire....

If that building did NOT have a full sprinkler system, I am shocked. Building codes here would never allow such a thing to be built, with out a full sprinkler system.

Unhappy because he felt he was not paid enough.
Perhaps the fact he is a moron to film himself being an arsonist and 20 people were in building and lucky they got out shows WHY he was not management material or could not find a better job.
It is amazing to me how so many are dumb enough to film the crime they are committing.

Another fire on Tuesday set in NY to an apartment building where people died because the arsonist was angry that he lost his job somewhere. he sat and watch as others jumped for their lives .....
Zero ability to regulate their emotions and not be impulse there is many psychotics out there.

How utterly stupid do you have to be to tape yourself committing arson?!! He could be heard saying something like, "You should pay your employees better." Well, if he was so unhappy with his salary, couldn't afford to feed himself and/or pay rent, he won't have to worry about it now. He'll have free room, board and meals in prison.

Good thing nobody was injured. That fire

I think he was trying to martyr himself instead of assassinating the CEO he just destroyed their business. And will cause some supply chain issues for everyone in California especially. The other employees including the 20 on duty at the time seem to be content with that pay. Now they will have nothing.

To top it off he works for a sub contractor that runs warehouses and distributes the products for Kimberly-Clark. The company is not a small local company it is national which plenty of opportunity for transfers, promotions, different jobs different pay etc.

As suspected the suspect is comparing himself to Lugi the CEO killer. Not only did he post his criminal act online he called a friend to talk about it.

If unhappy with pay find another job, form a union, get some certifications, licenses, degrees etc. The contractor he worked NFI is a big national company with other opportunities.

The suspected arsonist also destroyed at least $500 MILLION in product and $120 million building. He will also be charged federally since the facility was a distribution center for interstate commerce.

Arson suspect in California warehouse fire allegedly compared himself to Luigi Mangione

Keep in mind he did this with his ex coworkers in the building. What if someone tripped or fell while evacuating or didn't hear the alarm. Attempted murder charges?

What an idiot ! He goes into the "What is Wrong With People?!!" file.

Apparently it did. The automatic sprinkler system activated, but when part of the roof collapsed it was compromised.

Sprinkler systems being able to foil a determined arsonist setting numerous fires in a building full of paper would be nearly impossible. Even in Canada.

A loss from a TBD emotionally disturbed person without much self control, that somehow rationalized his actions like someone mad smashing their own dinner plate on the floor. It won't benefit what he was angry about but instead will result in his own misery for the rest of his life with zero effect on changing wages, and more emotional testing scrutiny from corporations hiring low skilled persons.
