North, South, East or West? read below

We all might have preference in which direction we chose to sleep once
in bed or wherever we are sleeping. Is your head aiming north, south, east
or west? This is a lighthearted topic. Sometimes we don't really have a choice
for example, if you are in a hotel or some other sleeping quarters. But in your

own home what do you chose, or does it even matter at all.

For myself, and the last 20 years, my head is heading West when I lay
down in my bed. Throughout the sleep hours though, I rotate, move
around, and my head visits ALL directions. I don't give it any thought
actually, except for when I post a topic like this one.

The direction of my bed is positioned West.

  • East (Head): Considered ideal for mental clarity, rejuvenation, and health, according to the Isha Foundation.
  • North (Head): Generally discouraged in the Northern Hemisphere, as it may cause high blood pressure or disturbed sleep.
  • West (Head): Often associated with ambition but sometimes considered neutral.
  • Scientific Evidence: Studies suggest North-South alignment may lead to deeper, better quality sleep compared to East-West, according to the Sleep Foundation.
  • Southern Hemisphere: It is advised to avoid pointing your head towards the South.

For optimal rest, align your bed based on these principles while ensuring you feel secure, as noted in the article "Does It Really Matter Which Direction You Sleep?".
