Ah yes, you *are* about to enter hurricane season! I've been to my beloved St. Augustine a number of times for very unsettled weather, but that's always been tornado outbreaks and I've escaped timing for hurricane warnings and evacuations. I hope it was an informative meeting for you.

Those small crocus bulbs, are an example of delayed gratification!
One has to wait through nearly 6 months of winter, to watch them sprout and bloom.

Once you post the original pic just hit the backspace and there's a little box at the bottom that says insert and it will give you the thumbnail option.

I prefer the thumbnails cuz sometimes the originals are so huge. I think it's easier to see the thumbnails.

@Kaila, Officially, Hurricane Season is from June 1 to November 30. We could see some activities earlier than that and sometimes it can extend later than that.
The local news channels usually present some preparation plans in May.
Our community organizes its own around now. We also have a Disaster Committee. They are trained volunteer residents to help in case of disaster. They run classes and various courses through the year. It is open to all residents. It makes older residents at ease to have support during hard times.
