Today, the little spaniel goes to the groomer for her spring cut. Back to town we go, closer this time. I don't know what I will do for the two hours it takes this groomer. Usually, I will run errands during that time but today there are no errands to run. There is a boutique nearby but I don't need clothes and they are pricey. Maybe hang out at the library? Coming home to wait means an extra hour of driving and two gallons of gas. Nope.

Well it's been a weird day today... it was very sunny... then when I got to the next town the sun went in.... then 10 minutes later it came back out, and this went on for the 2 hours I was over there..literally minutes apart Blue sky... dark grey sky....

@GoodEnuff ..thanks for asking.. I got my steroid injection in my hip... it was done and over in just 10 minutes. I'm not gonna lie... it was very sore.. when she was feeling around my hip to find the most painful spot, before injecting anaesthetic... and I half jokingly cried out. ''I've changed my mind..''..she said.. do you want me to stop?.. I said no..please carry on.. a few minutes discomfort for months of pain relief... I'll take the deal...lol..

Anyway it doesn't hurt now .. and within a week there should be a pain free hip...(y)

A few pics from the area immediately surrounding my Doctors surgery ( office)....the photos because of the weather pattern look like they were taken on different days but they were all taken within 30 minutes

I need to get my cortisone shot in my left knee real soon. The doc also drains about 6 cc of yellow fluid. The last cortisone shot was about 6 months ago so I am due. I have both arthritis & a torn meniscus in my knee. I probably need to get a new knee but I have chickened out so far. Glad your shot is working Holly

I had both Knees done last December... one was painless.. the other was VERY painful.... I nearly shot through the ceiling when they administered the shot..... it was really agonising

I'm on the waiting list for a partial Knee replacement.. my right knee...( which was the one that suffered the agonising pain during the steroid jab)

I can walk fine I'm not crippled thankfully, I don't limp... except when the pain is bad.. but the pain is constant..like toothache

Baked a rhubarb pie today,,,hubby cut some this morning.
We had a frost last night which made the rhubarb limp.

Been awhile since I've made a pie crust or a rhubarb pie.
Had to get my cook book out & recipe for the pie.
Boy,, have I forgotten how to make a pie!

Cookies are much easier to make.

Hubby took a face plant in the wood lot!
Skinned up his nose & small stop on his forehead.
Broke his glasses.

He probably should get his eyes checked & new glasses.
I think he is afraid that he may loose his driver's license.

There is no public transportation in this little town.

We live on hill,, walking. down isn't bad,, its the walk back up . 🙃

Have a good day, everyone.

I had an appointment with one of my cardiologists this morning. My BP was high, but not so high that she felt she needed to do anything drastic. She wants me to monitor my pressure morning and night for a week and call her with the results. I also have to monitor my sleep times. She feels me not getting adequate sleep could be contributing to the rise in pressure. The last time a doctor in that group took my pressure, it was good.

I walked to the bank a block up the street afterward, used the ATM just to keep my card active and ordered the Uber from there. The building that houses the doctor's office has three entrances and drivers might to go to the wrong one. Been there, done that, so it's easier to take it from the bank. I took a couple of naps this afternoon..

Speaking of water...
This small (pop 2,000) town's water source is from snow melt on the mountain above. We are bombarded with notices about conserving water; it's a big deal. Yet they are approving the addition of a subdivision with 400+ homes. The developers seeking approval for this are related to the Mayor's live-in girlfriend. Since the feds will give money to the town (and maybe the developer) if they include "affordable housing" in the subdivision, they propose about five affordable housing "units" in the subdivision. Dig deeper and you will drown in sh*t.

Government at its finest.

Unfortunately, situations like this are all too common. It's all about "who" you know. A similar example is when unqualified people get jobs because they are someone's cousin, etc. It's sad, and yet......it continues.

Four out of the last seven days were spent running around towns. Today, I will stay home and do nothing. Read the books I checked out from the library. Ha! Take that, life.

Except I will check the fresh paper I laid under the car to make certain that the oil leak was indeed repaired. If you see a mushroom cloud appear over the US, you will know I found a drop of oil under that car.

Good morning to everyone. It is 63 degrees right now and just a trace of rain coming our way. Someone in our weather forecast says no big amount of rain until July.

Towns around our area are having fires with road closures and evacuations.

I guess one good thing (not really) is our lawn doesn't need cutting so that saves us some costs.

Sorry to always post about our bad weather and fires. I am happy for the members who do contribute with their good news.

Have a good day and stay well to everyone. :)

I;ve just spent the last hour using the electtric hand trimmer on the borders of the lawns...... so that's all neat now...🌞

I do want to trim the top of the hedges in the front..they're perfectly acceptable acceptable as they are to most people .. but not to me.. they need trimming down.. but because its very windy today I'll leave it for another day

I'm rushing to meet a deadline today, as usual, and I'm feeling even more burned out than I usually do. But tonight is my next Fab Four Master Class, and those never fail to lift my spirits.

Yesterday was the monthly meeting of The Ocean Liner Society, with a much-anticipated lecture by Bill Miller on Cunard. It was nice to commiserate with others who were decidedly unhappy about the fact that the Carnival Corporation now owns Cunard. That makes me cringe, and I'm clearly not alone in that sentiment; however, as Mr. Miller pointed out, it was that or the end of the company.

I've been staying offline because everything, on every site, seems so negative and stressful lately, but perhaps that is only my perception: As Mother's Day gets closer my mood has been steadily getting lower. 🥀

Strange weather here today! The forecast says a high of 87 F (31 C), which I find hard to believe, and then there is snow in the forecast a few days hence.

I hope everyone is doing well. 🌷🌺

Starting out day frustrated. Rain 🌧️ can’t go out this morning. Nurse 🧑‍⚕️ coming between one and three. Inconvenient for me.

CVS. Haven’t dealt with them for six months. New phone system. AARRRGGGHHH! New bot very annoying and time consuming. HATE CVS!!

Hopefully my attitude can be improved.

Had new aide starting this week. I’m not in mood for company today and there’s nothing I can do about it. It’s hard. My life is not my own.

What is the cause? Man - accidental or pyro? It’s terrifying, whatever the reason

Be thankful you have help. There’s a shortage of workers or allotted time given around here.
