What have you bought recently?

2 New House Dresses arrived today.
I like to wear items like this to bed in the Summer so I do not need to get dressed right away.

Get to peelin' them potatoes hollydolly.
🤗
it's not really potatoes so much ..lol... it's for the other veggies when I buy them in bulk, and peel and chop & freeze them...

I have AO in my fingers which just seems to get worse by the day and this peeler is as good if not better than the OXO swivel peeler which is also promoted with a good grip...

( looks at me being all grown up )... :ROFLMAO:

Please let us know if the light base can be placed flat on a table so you don’t have to attach it to a book. I have one old battery one that is great for emergency lighting.
@Jules, sorry I'm late getting back on this....the light has only a clip that attaches to the book, I guess it could attach to a table top edge if the edge was very thin. Overall the light is very small.

I watch the Amtrak California Zephyr stop at Truckee on a railcam. I have been fascinated with the yellow stepbox they use to help passengers get on and off the train.
When I was working on a tourist RR I had to use them also. I finally found one on line and ordered it. Then I bought a can of yellow safety spray paint.

After years of using a Brita filter pitcher, I bought this one since one of the contractors our co-op uses, who's heavy into health stuff, said Brita's really aren't that good. Plus I know this model doesn't filter out microplastics.

I also decided to treat myself to a the new Roku Ultra device, mostly because I can watch T.V. using the Bluetooth headphones for sound. This will come in handy after my son goes to sleep. And I ordered Systane preservative free lubricating eye drops, all from Amazon.

Hmm been thinking about replacing Brita. I like the glass container!

Carpet tiles. Someone important comes visit for a talk with my son. Can't invite em in one big bunny cage. Some were just ruined. They ate my Turkish carpet. I fixed that, so it looks a bit normal now and I put their cage on the balcony.

I'm still trying to slowly change to eating "plant based", so I bought some non-dairy ice cream online (couldn't find it in stores) and it arrived today packed with dry ice ice-cubes. I wore two pair of gloves and poked around with a wooden paint stir stick until I could get the ice cream out without touching the dry ice. The scary dry ice has been sitting outside on the balcony for 6 hours and still hasn't all gone away.

I’ve been looking for a small bag, preferably see-through, to hold combs, pills, etc in my second purse. Today I asked the manager in a dollar type store. He suggested reusable containers for packing fruit, etc for lunches. It’s kind of like an old-style pencil case. I think it’ll do the trick. 2 in a pack for $4. If it doesn’t work, I can use it in the kitchen.

This store a treasure trove of almost everything you could want. It’s easy to spend an hour and dollars in it.

Go for it Hearlady. I'm intimidated by glass because I'm clumsy and probably wouldn't have gotten it if it didn't have the silicone base. I'll say this for Brita...the pitcher is sturdy. I banged it against the sink so many times and it never cracked. The new pitcher came in yesterday but I haven't cleaned and filled it yet. Today was laundry day, which is tiring. Plus the dryer is in the kitchen and it gets hot in there. Afterward I napped for a long time. I have to read the instructions thoroughly before l wash and fill it. I'll let you and @Jules know how it works out and how the water tastes.

How strange that you couldn't find it in stores. All our local major grocers (and most minor ones) stock it.

I'm not familiar with that brand and will be interested to learn your opinion.

I buy mostly form local shops and the malls. There are some things I need from Amazon that I can't get here so I shop there too but the packages need to go through a third party shipper in Miami so it's a nuisance. I just bought new speakers for my desktop at a local shop at the mall.

Today I went bricks and mortar shopping... and I bought this very similar artificial topiary plant for outside the back door...

...I aso bought a Very large Clay Flower pot.....for indoors.... and 2 new Table lamps, one for downstairs and one for upstairs... I'll get around to taking pictures of them ...

Also I saw little collapsible water bowls for the dogs.. and they're really good quality... I know my daughter has those.. but the store had them by the tills, because they'd reduced them from £6 each... to £1.50... so £3 for 2, instead of £12... so I couldn't resist getting them for the grandfurkids..
