Hmm...sometimes I don't get notifications about posts either. I just figured he would've seen it since it was right there on the same page. Plus he responded to someone elses post ya know. Oh well.

@katlupe I did not hafta give up coffee thank God!

@GoodEnuff I actually got some through DoorDash from Dollar General two dashers and two stores later. What was odd was the Walmart app said they were out of the Seabond. I ordered a 3 pk and the guy had found only one. It was confusing. But I now have the same amount as that 3 pk so I'm good. Thank you though.
 
It is warm and muggy out and very cloudy. I think it's supposed to storm today. I got the main Call of Duty game downloaded last night. If it's storming tonight I will hafta wait til tomorrow afternoon to purchase and download Black Ops 7 which is part of the Call of Duty game series.

I can hardly wait to get my shot in my finger tomorrow. I likely won't be gaming or much else tomorrow. I will probably let my finger rest. I filled out a request form for donated ETO. I'm hoping they will have something for me to help get me closer to being able to get an appt with the surgeon and get something set up.

Sometimes I don't get a notification when someone responded and quoted me. I saw it twice by accident a few days later, so my response was quite slow. Or maybe I just overlooked them.
 
I've noticed that I don't get notifications sometimes too. I seem to get them for a time without any problems & then I miss a few.

Since I've noticed things not coming up, I've been going to the the main FORUM tab & click on it. Once that comes up, I go to WATCHED & click on it which brings up everything I'm following. I've seen things highlighted that wasn't in the alerts so I'll click on it & find things that I would have missed.

Morning all!

It's pretty miserable when you can't sleep. I dozed off a little here and there but nothing all that restful. I'll probably just come home and lay down after the appt.

I got to thinking this morning that if I have my surgery I'm not gonna be able to do anything with the splint on my hand the first 3 days. I'll probably hafta order take out and it will hafta be stuff I can eat with one hand. I won't be able to cook or wash dishes or even put deoderant on one of my armpits. I won't be able to get my sweetener packets open for my coffee. I may need a babysitter! LOL!

I don't know what I'll be able to do once the splint comes off. I might be able to wear my rubber glove and do dishes if I don't lift with that hand or try to scrub with it. What I don't understand is they put you in conscious sedation so they want you to go 12 hours with no food or water or medicine. I'm gonna hafta talk to him about that water situation because of my dry mouth. If I'm not going under all the way I don't get not being able to eat and drink. *Shrugs*

I got my game downloaded last night. I will probably wait til Saturday to fiddle with it. Let my finger rest after my shot. It never did storm where I live last night. It went around us. Enid OK had an EF4 tornado last night.

The creepy guy at work is applying for a job in Central Services where they clean and sterilize surgical utensils and stuff. He lost one leg to diabetes and keeps applying for jobs that involve lots of standing and walking and he has problems with that. He scrubs floors in our dept and he has to stop and sit down a lot or he has to leave early and he calls in a lot. I don't see how he will manage 8 hrs standing. I doubt they'll let him sit down all the time in CS. He's mad cuz they won't let him wax floors. I wonder if it's because it's more of a safety hazard with his fake leg.

Anyway, I'm up for the day for now. I hafta be at the imaging clinic at 1:30 then I hit ortho on 4th floor at 2:00. I should be home around 3.

Been trying to think of more ideas for gluten free dishes I can make for myself. I could get some white rice cooked up and make it with pizza sauce and toppings instead of the nasty gluten free crust.
 
I'm glad those storms went around you, instead of thru you!

you'd definitely have a lot to plan ahead, for when you'd have that splint on!

especially for the most important essentials...
Such as the sweetener packets for your coffee!

yeah...idk what the heck to do about that. i won't be able to crack open a bottle of soda or iced coffee so i might be pretty angry those 3 days. lol
 
hmm...wonder if i could get my lady friend to come over and loosen the lids on the ice coffee bottles for me...hmm...🤔

I even make the coffee ahead, put it in frig, and reheat it in microwave. It's okay.
It's still coffee. 😊😉😄

Honestly, the hardest things to do, have to do with putting clothes on and off, and socks and shoes. 😬😱😖

i have slip on shoes and clothes won't be a problem. tshirts go overhead and can be slid into. pants are leggings and i can hook my thumbs into the waistband and pull those up.

i can't imagine putting three days worth of instant coffee in the fridge. lol!
