Do you nap more these days?

I typically sleep 8-9 hours per night. I go to the gym 5 days a week. That hasn't chanced for the past 6 years. A couple of years ago I never took afternoon naps. Now I find that at around 3:30pm when I'm on the couch and watching TV I drift off. Sometimes the cats are on my lap and they just look startled when I snore and wake myself up!

Anyone else finding naps are more frequent these days?

Yes!
and it frustrates me. I never took naps before.
I always disliked when people feel asleep in their chairs, or on the living room couch, now I find myself doing it.
Then I get up from the chair, go to bed, sometimes I can not go back to sleep.
It really is annoying.

Same ^^^ ...I was never someone who slept during the day... but it's fatal for me to sit on the sofa if I'm even the least bit tired, because I'll drop off... so I try as much as I can not to sit downstairs during the day.. so I don't fall asleep...

I used to take a nap most days but now I don’t . I’ve discovered that it interferes with my night time sleep when I do. Unfortunately I’m on medication that makes me sleep for about 10, sometimes 12 hours. I’m up now in the middle of the night cause I ate too much sugary foods yesterday. I had Jubejubes. Too much sugar gets me every time. Now I’ll probably stay up for a few hours and then fall back to sleep later on.

Don't sit on the couch, try the recliner chair instead. it's more comfortable.

Never have been a napper. Now I have to lay down in my bed and put my feet up for at least half an hour. I find it hard to do. Keep checking the time so I can get up. I am going to try reading on my Kindle to help me increase it to an hour. Even if I am tired I never fall asleep until time to go to bed for the night. I fall asleep at night as soon as I lay down.

I’ve never been someone who naps. That hasn’t changed as I’ve aged. The “nap hangover” syndrome is very true for me! The very occasional times I’ve napped I’ve always woken feeling worse.

I wish I could nap like Ron used to. he’d lay down, was asleep in moments, and would wake half an hour to an hour later feeling recharged and refreshed!
