Now 11:30am PDT. Weather forecast all this week for today Saturday had been mostly sunny, warm, light winds. But a tricky cut-off low has been off our coast for days that is always difficult to forecast and instead of staying up in the Pacific Northwest, unexpectedly just moved south overnight and strengthened. Instead, there are showers in Southern California, snow showers in the Sierra Nevada, and totally cloud cool flow across this SF Bay Area. So meteorologists got this day very wrong. 60F outside right now.

Had another good session at our SJM Rose Garden yesterday, and have already processes the few images. So this morning was back to HTML coding and knocked off my trip 4 weeks ago. Now see 24 remaining Rose images left, that I'll continue working on tomorrow. For today, what reads like a good Classic Rock cover band is playing for free outdoors this afternoon in downtown SJ that I'll be leaving for in about 20 minutes. So am primed for much fun and exercise with my lively, pendulum, shuffle, running man, dancing.

Tonight dinner was courtesy of my generous neighbour. a Big bowl of Italian wedding soup.. and fried potatoes...

usually they come quite late by which time Ive had dinner because i never know when they're going to come round with food... but tonight she timed it perfectly.. :D the dinner I was batch cooking was only minutes away from being ready.... and I was going to have a ladle of that for dinner..Instead I had this delicious pork Italian wedding soup.

There was so much, that when I finished eating, there was still enough to feed another 2 people.. so I've put it in the fridge for tomorrow

Back to Rural King,,picked up dogie treats.
Hubby found some oil at a good price.

Home to settle in,, rainy day, in PA.

We went to see Kinky Boots for the fourth time. What a great play! It is funny, inspirational and has a great score written by Cyndi Lauper. The lights hang from the ceiling of the theater, adjust color and retract to music before the play starts. It made for a great afternoon!

I had an eventful day! As I was about to get into the shower this morning, I leaned down to place my shower shoes so I could step right in them and must've lost my balance. I fell on the floor and knocked over Deja's fountain. So now I'm laying on the wet floor in my birthday suit! My son heard the bang-clang and called out "Are you alright?!" I told him I had fallen but he couldn't come in because I had nothing on. I also told him I wasn't hurt. He ignored that and came to the door with his eyes closed and hand extended.

Even with his help, I had a little trouble getting up because it was wet and slippery. I managed to get my foot into my (rubber) slipper, which was also wet and used that as leverage. I told him I needed an arm, not a hand. He wound up extending an arm and a hand on the other side. Blessedly, I didn't get a bump nor bruise (except maybe my ego). I'm sure the towel I'd doubled and placed on the floor cushioned the fall a bit.

I had a lab appointment scheduled for 9:30 and Honorary Son #3 was picking me up at 9:00. I'm glad I started getting ready a little early, that my son was still home and that I wasn't hurt, because it would have caused a conundrum for my son, who was getting ready to go pick up his wife from the airport. Thankfully, I'm still not feeling the affects of the fall.

We got to the lab a few minutes early. I was called in (and they do it on time), by the young lady who took care of me last time and we were having a nice chat. Ron walked by and I hailed him, because he had to help her last time. Good thing I did. Even though I drank as much water as I could stand before going and he went into my one good arm vein, I heard the dreaded words "Her blood is not flowing".

I'm glad he didn't have to stick me twice because I really hate that. This time he used the technic of sliding the butterfly back just a bit, then lifting it slightly. He took an extra tube of blood in case, because he felt the first partial tube (before his adjustments) would hemolyze. We were back home by 10:22 and the lab is in another town.

This afternoon, my son brought my DIL and new (step) granddaughter over for a visit. I thought it was sweet that DIL wanted to get to see me amidst their busy schedule. The three of them were going to a wedding this evening and had to go back to the hotel to change. She and her daughter are flying back to N.C. tomorrow morning. We had a fun, pleasant visit. I ate an early dessert and took a nap after they left.

When I woke up, it was time to get ready to go sit with HS#3 during his broadcast. For the first time in a long time, we talked for a little more than an hour after it was over. He usually visits his father right after the show. As Eryka Badu sang "What a day...what a day!"
