Just got a call from Ed's daughter, letting me know he has been moved (his choice) from assisted living facility to the hospice house for End of Life care. =(

I had planned to go up there mid May but I guess I'll be headed out early this week to visit and spend time with him.
How sad CS: But at least he will likely be getting the best care in hospice. Who is Ed. I must've missed your previous post(s) about him. Safe travels always my friend. 🤗

Had a really nice day yesterday and the food was excellent and the company was fun enjoyed church as well. I like church services.

Sorry about the occasion but got over myself. The party afterwards was raucous and interesting. Lots of laughter and good will.
I'm so glad you had a good time❣️

@CinnamonSugar I'm sorry that your friend is near the end. Losing a dear friend is so hard. May his transition be a peaceful, painless one. 🫂

I set up my mini machines today so I could wash the wet towels that we used to soak up the puddle in the bathroom yesterday morning. I was going to take them downstairs to wash, but it rained all day and night and I figured the steps might be slippery. Plus our idiot maintenance man puts a towel at the entrance inside that could be a trip hazard. I also washed hand towels, wash cloths and lingerie that I will put away tomorrow because I'm tired. I left the machines set up so I can wash more tomorrow.

This afternoon, my son, youngest grandson (21) and I watched Project Power on Netflix. I treated us to pizza;. my son treated us to Haagen Daz Raspberry Lemon sorbet, which all three of us have become addicted to. My grandson and I both saw Project Power before and enjoyed watching it again. In fact, I just watched it last week so you know I must've liked it a lot. My son thought it was very good too.

Took a bunch of handheld Pixel 10 Pro images this Sunday afternoon at the rose garden I've been more seriously working with my a6700 system. With the garden at near spring peak color, large numbers of people including many larger groups, and wedding parties, were out this afternoon walking about, most with smartphone cameras. So many shots with people in the shots. Will make a thumbnail image later this week after I return from the below.

Not ready or prepared at all as of Sunday evening, but will tomorrow likely will pack up gear, add some local gasoline, then will be primed for what will likely be a 300 mile roundtrip, 12 gallon of gas, wildflower road trip up on our north coast. The weather forecast has changed daily the last couple weeks and finally I am seeing 2 days with low breezes.

Hard to predict the state of wildflower species because the weather this wet season has been unique. All flowers have been going through their bloom to seed cycles a few weeks early. On our north coast, some of our coastal shore bluffs have dense areas of low to ground wildflowers due to winds. Could be staying in a state park campground a couple nights so need to stop at a supermarket along the route.

Good morning peeps of SF... on yet another glorious sunny morning... 🌞 🌞

I've been spraying the weeds this morning.. they just appeared overnight......

Been trying to get through to my dentist... but it just keeps going to answer phone.. they tend to use the receptionists as dental nurses if they're short of staff.. so I suspect that might be the case this morning...

Have the best day you can Folks 🌷🌼

Morning all, the birdies woke me up again at 5, was able to go back to sleep until 6:25
On my early walk at usual time, sun was out temp was 45 was refreshing with no breeze. My route this morning I walked behind 3 building driveways, then walked down the street around our building complex
Its going to be another beautiful spring day, highs in low 70's,only decent day of the week. I hope to take either a mid morning or afternoon walk, check out today's lunch/dinner menu
Everybody have a good day

Hello everyone, a dreary day here today, but I am actually glad because I am hoping to have a lazy afternoon after I finish my current assignment. I have just one article left, and then I will have no work for the time being. I'm very much looking forward to getting a bit of a breather; it seems like I've been going at breakneck speed for some time now.

Of course, in a day or two I will probably be back on here in a panic. :ROFLMAO: But for today I just hope to finish my current job and then take it easy.

Well it's been really hot here today ..72 deg f... but it's veen hotter in my sun trap of a garden...

I went out and finished trimming off the high hedges which I started yesterday.... and I had to come back in and put a sleeveless top on, it was so warm.

..it's all done now and everything put away.... it's 4pm... so time for me to sit down and ease my back..

My lilacs are in full bloom.. I have 2 types, one is a true lilac colour and the other a deep red/purple...

and these are the lilac coloured ones. I took this photo last night just at twilight. My phone doesn't like it when it's dark but I thought getting the picture before it gets dark.. might be ok... so it turned out not too bad...

Hubby doesn't have any luck with his new denture.
Last night he couldn't find them.

He blamed the dog ,, saying he chewed them up.
I kept saying there is no bits & pieces on the floors.

I think when hubby. cleaned his desk they went in the waste paper basket.
And we burnt the thrash Sunday !
This morning I raked the pile of ashes & did discover what could have been his teeth.

He didn't think so.

He had an appointment to see the dentist this morning.
Guess the missing teeth were 'test' set?

Hope every on e has a good day.

It's racing towards 8pm here now.. it's different evening to the day... in that its very overcast and threatening to rain, so I'm even more pleased that I got the gardens finished and looking so nice.

I also drilled some new holes to hang the new Plant holders.. and hung a new basket on one of them... that makes 4 hanging baskets around the gardens now... 🌺 ...and about 20 fence hanging pots... this type...

Have aborted my plan per above post for a imminent road trip up to our North Coast because, yet again, the weather forecast has greatly changed in just a single day as the rest of this week is now going to be windy with usual northwesterly winds. Instead, another supposed calmer period is forecast in about a week, I'll wait for. Thus a quiet Monday on my computer, coding the rest of today.

Happy Monday, SFers! Hope today is being kind to you.

Had a great Sunday with 4 year old GS. We only took him and not his 2 year old brother because DH will be dealing with some physical restrictions until May 8th-ish. This, due to the epidural injection in his back last week.

We can explain to the 4 year old that Papa can't pick him up or even hold him on his lap right now, but the two year old (who adores DH) isn't yet able to understand that and would get frustrated.

Happy news: DH says this epidural already feels better than his previous two (which weren't successful at reducing his lower back pain). When/if the epidurals don't work he'll be facing back surgery decisions.

@hollydolly, your flowers are gorgeous.
@CinnamonSugar, I'm sorry to learn of Ed's declining health. You've written so fondly about him many times on this forum. 🤗

My day today has been excellent so far. I have been sleeping very well lately and I woke refreshed and raring to go. I enjoyed a fabulous cup of coffee this morning. I have been unable to tolerate coffee for a few years and it’s such a pleasure to enjoy a cup in the morning. Since I haven’t been drinking it in such a long time, I have treated myself to some coffees from all over the world. This morning I had Tanzania Peaberry which was full bodied and delicious!
The weather is glorious today, so I put on my sunscreen and walked in the park for hours, enjoying the sun , the birds and the water.
I am reading a book I am enjoying called “Theo of Golden”.
I’m home now and it is so quiet and serene. My husband is angry at me and hasn’t spoken to me in 3 days now! The peace in my home is so relaxing! I hope he stays angry for awhile. It’s like a vacation!

Anywy you're enjoying it lol... so that's all that matters :D

I used to hate it. He does it very often and I’ve come to love it!🤣

I'm trying to plot out our vacation next month.

The first few days will be involved with a memorial service (it seems that all our vacations any more are arranged around funerals.....) and seeing relatives but after that, we're heading out for some fun in West Virginia.

We plan to tour the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (historic site supposed to be highly haunted....we'll see....) and then over to Beckley to tour a coal mine. I've been in silver mines, gold mines, copper mines, uranium mines, salt mines but never yet a coal mine. Perhaps we'll add Harper's Ferry and Lewisburg if we have time but we've been there before, so maybe not. Another possible site is the New River Bridge, but we've been there three times already. There are so many spots I'd love to go back to, but there are also so many spots to go to for the first time. I'm trying to find a nice waterfall somewhere in there; it's not a vacation for me if there are no waterfalls.

The hardest part is finding hotels. I'm not picky but the Spousal Equivalent is. As long as it's clean, I'm fine.

Earlier today, it was just another exercise in frustration with the medical profession. I had an 11:40 a.m. appointment with a specialist. Two days ago, they sent me a reminder, which I responded to. Yesterday, they sent another reminder, which I also responded to. Today, just as I pulled up into the parking lot, I got another reminder.

So, I went in and checked in. The clerk gave me the usual stuff to fill out, which I did. I wasn't finished when she called me up to the counter and said they had cancelled my appointment. When? Well, she says, they called me. When? I looked at my "recents" on the phone and there was no call from them. Well, they must have sent me an email, she says. I looked at my emails and my phone messages. Nothing. Then she digs further and admits that her records says they "needed" to call me and reschedule the appointment, but apparently no one did.

Arrrrgggghhhh. Luckily, I didn't have to fast or get up really early and it wasn't far away and I had plenty to do in the area, or I would have really gotten mad.

So, I went and bought myself some sushi as a reward for not killing anyone......

You feel serene when your husband behaves like a child? I'd be soooo outta there. Life is too short to live with that kind of BS, and the older we get the shorter the amount of time we have in front of us.
