How are you today?

It rained all day without stopping. We needed rain, but not all at once, but it's okay, long as there was no hail (there wasn't).

I paid some bills, then closed the monthly budget since is the last day of April, and came out "over" (more SS income than payouts) which is most rare. So, not a bad day.
That's pretty great. Must be a good feeling, too.πŸ™‚
Now do you carry it over, to free yourself to use more this month?πŸ€”
Or do you save it away, or use for something special?πŸ€”

Had the office to myself today, and while I dearly love my husband... it is kind of nice to have a quiet day - pretty much alone.

Had a few walk-in customers that I can't help - since I don't know a thing about shower doors. I explain, I just pay the bills and offer to show them some samples, then take their info and pass it on to DH.

I'm going to pull the plug and apply for my SS @ 63 (in July). I know I'll get less that way, but with my increasing health issues - I just want to work less and less.

Warmest Wishes to everyone! :)
Make the decision, that's right for you.

What a glorious morning! It's 9.15 am, time for a quick cycle on the spin bike followed by a mug of cappuccino :coffee:

I had a successful shopping trip yesterday. I found two pair of petite fit drawstring waist, linen trousers for mum. I hope they fit, they look a little big but, it is difficult to tell with drawstrings. If not, I will be taking them back next week for a refund or exchange. I also bought her two loose summery tops to go with them.

I have a less energetic day planned for today. Just some household chores and paperwork to catch up on. Tomorrow, some of the family are getting together so, I want to make the most of a peaceful Saturday.

Have a good day :)

good morning all peeps, been here awhile, got up at 6am, fairly decent
sleep...and now the sun is shining all brite!!! Dang lawn growing fast, need
to call the mower guy again, already had it done 3 times!!
Cannot think of other plans, maybe a slow start to laundry..so have
great day if you want, healing prayers to those suffering..... :devilish:;)πŸ₯°

I had thought about starting a thread called "What have you dropped today?" but I thought better of it. For example I cant seem to get through my medications without knocking at least a couple on the floor.
Amen! If I drop a pill on the floor, it's time to grab a flashlight and spend the next ? minutes trying to find it so the dogs don't eat it. Kind of a panic situation. Now, I hold the container over the sink so if it drops, it won't be on the floor. Three of those pills are very tiny.

Not a drop but there was the time I knocked over an open can of paint primer. Talk about panic! The good news is that it was in the garage, not in the house on the new-ish floors.

After much thought and careful consideration, I have decided to make today a DNM day. Do Nothing Much. So I donned my favorite Ladies' Loungewear. After getting all settled in, I saw all kinds of things that really need to be done. I'll do them but not right now.

ETA: I just found out that it's Naked Gardening Day. I wasn't going to do any gardening and am already in my Ladies' Loungewear, but geez...there won't be another opportunity for a whole year... ;) Priorities, yanno?

So far so good. Nothing much on the agenda so I'll probably follow GG's lead and have a DNM (Do Nothing Much) day.

Last night DH & I joined DD's family at DGS's middle school spring musical, Rock of Ages. (DGS was the stage manager). Very cute. A lot of the kids couldn't sing much better than I can, a very low bar to clear, but what they lacked in talent they made up for in goofy enthusiasm. Somehow their periodic sour notes only added to the evening's charm.

The rarity of kids acting like kids in front of a crowd of several hundred adults and classmates was an absolute delight.

OMG! You keep your kit on @Georgiagranny there are critters in your garden and you have no idea of the places they can sneak into or, how difficult it would be to get them out again

If you really must make a nekkid exhibition of yourself, perhaps get a spray tan and wax and book yourself in for the Naked Bike Ride in June, it's much more civilised and all you have to worry about is a strategically placed palm leaf and a wonkey bike seat(y)

Naked Gardening Day indeed  What are you Americans like - have a cup of tea and keep your knickers on

The Naked bike ride is much more civilized, πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜ƒ
Than Naked gardening.....

You guys have me thinking about checking out this years new flavours of ice cream. Also, time to pick up some cones.

I do have a major supply of pop corn to eat up. One bag is like a very lightly flavoured Cracker Jacks. The other from Costco seems similar. Once I start eating it I can’t stop.

Since I don’t do any gardening and the sun is bright, I’ll be wearing a dress again.

If I drop mine they go down into the central air vent. Never to be seen again.
