A Canadian team has not won the Stanley Cup in over 30 years. Les Canadiens will become Canada's Team as they are the only Canuck team left in the playoffs.
40 million strong will be cheering them on against Buffalo Wednesday night! 👍

This should be a good series, rooting for my home town team, Buffalo Sabres
For them being in the playoffs after a 14 yr wait, has just done wonders for the city,and for local business that are near Key Bank Center arena

I live close to the US border near Buffalo so although I am Canadian, I will be cheering on the Sabres as I do even more so the Bills in football. I do own a Habs T-shirt though; 😄
Buffalo went up by one game tonight and did it in a pretty convincing way. Time will tell I suppose.

We enjoy watching the Habs play, but watching some of the other teams in the playoffs, their really going to have to up their game. The Wild and Avs are playing much harder and their passing is very accurate for the speed that they are moving.

Carolina looks to be very strong as well. They're up 3-0 now in the second round with no losses to date. Mind you, they got a couple of pretty soft opponents so far ... we'll see after they sweep Philly :LOL:
Carolina has had a strong team for awhile now. Can't for the life of me understand how a place like Raleigh, North Carolina could support an NHL team. Hockey would not be something I would think to connect to Raleigh 🤔

They've clearly got a great front office group to have assembled a very talented team over the years!

@MrPants

The Hurricanes remind me of an old school European team...they pass when you think they are going to shoot, shoot when you think they will pass. What a treat this team is to watch!
I predict a Carolina/ Colorado Final.

Funnily enough I took my polesaw in to the Stihl Shop yesterday and there was hockey on the TV behind the counter. It's rare to see anything hockey related in WA.
My area in Wisconsin is the same. Very few hockey fans. Football and baseball fans look at us funny when we tell them we don't watch those sports. My wife is a Wings fan and I'm an Avs fan, but we like to watch many teams. We became fans in the 90's while watching the Olympics on CBC. We've watched many players through their careers, from beginning to retirement. Special interest to us is Habs #13 grew up about 20 miles from us.
