Good heavens! :eek: Certainly not!!! :ROFLMAO: What in the world would I do with them and where could I possibly store them? These signs are each 6.5 feet high by 15 feet long.

I can look back on previous MD sign photographs, but I'm not the type to save every memento.

The sign will stay on the garage door throughout the month of May and come down around June 1. By then, time and sun will have weathered the paint some.
 
I spent part of the morning texting Mothers Day GiFs to family and friends and reading what I received. I called my sister and briefly spoke with our niece, who lives with her. My conversation with my sister was brief too, because her children were picking her up to take her to breakfast. I was glad that our conversation was short because due to her dementia, our conversations can drag on and she'll ask the same questions over and over within just minutes. It's heartbreaking. Her long term memory is better than short term however, so we do have fun reminiscing.

It came to me to let my son know after he got to the mosque (but before the kutbah (sermon), that for Mothers Day and birthdays, I don't want flowers and candy. I want him to spend quality time with me. So he brought home dinners that the Sisters at the mosque had cooked and dessert that one of the Brothers made. He calls it Apple Jack, which is an apple crumb pie. It was very good, but it could have been a little sweeter.

He asked what I was watching so he could watch it with me. I had started watching Invasion (Apple TV) but felt he would enjoy Monarch: Legacy of Monsters better. I had already gotten to mid Ep 4 of season 2, but belt he'd enjoy watching that better. So I went back and rewatched S2 Ep1, which had a recap. We ate our dinners (well I ate about 1/3 of mine) while watching and had dessert over conversation. Sure enough, after that, he wanted to see the next episode of Monarch. Later, I loaded and ran the dishwasher, washed Deja's bowls and cleaned her fountain.

... we finally have rain... not heavy but steady enough to water the lawns ... yeaahhh!

I got my new Free bus pass in the post this morning without having to renew it myself, it just came automatically, which I was delighted with. It's valid for 5 years... and even tho' I only use a bus once in a blue moon, it's still handy to have it available... I can use it all over England .. not just my county... and it's totally free... It certainly came in handy last week when my car was in the garage for 2 days

Good morning to everyone. It is cloudy and will be 90 degrees this afternoon. We had two days of rain and that helped green up the grass. We will get more rain in the next 10 days.

@squatting dog those plants look so pretty and what a nice gesture you make offering them free.

We will be going out for lunch again. It seems easier for us than me making something. It is usually just sandwiches.

Exhausted today. Don’t have much energy. Went out for a walk and sat in my park. Little kids fascinate me. Saw a little toddler girl walking around with her dolly carriage. Realized I haven’t seen little girls with this toy in a long while.

Waiting for nurse to change my left foot/calf bandages. She comes three times a week. She helped me to put on earrings. She had to break through some skin which grew over the piercings as it’s been years since I wore them. She thought I would look so cute with my new short haircut. I do.
 
Rain has stopped, sun is out....☀️ just been chasing up the refund for my MOT that I didn't receive from the first garage... the first time they told me the refund would take 3-5 days, it didn't come, this time they said 10 days... so I've raised a dispute with my Credit card company...leave it in their hands now !

I got back from the 5 day bus trip to Cape Cod Friday night and I'm still feeling all worn out even after a couple nights of 8 hrs of sleep. I'm a little regretting that I have the Viking River Cruise from Basel to Amsterdam coming up in less than 4 weeks.

Some of the Cape Cod trip was awesome and some of it reminded me that I don't like people very much, there are so many thoughtless selfish ones. When the group leader would ask if anyone needed to have a bathroom stop, people who didn't need one would shout loudly 'No, keep going!', so you couldn't hear the people who did. The paperwork before the trip promised they would stop every two or two and a half hours for breaks and they didn't follow that. I don't think I want to go on any more bus trips now!

Martha's Vineyard was not at all fun, virtually nothing was open because the season hadn't started, and the bus they told us would go around the island only went up and back between 3 villages on one side of the island, plus the driver refused to stop at the middle village (because the bus was so full of people and he didn't want any more trying to get on), so basically we just saw one tourist shop and the ferry. :cry:

But the rest of the tour was good, I loved the paths around the dunes in the Cape Cod National Seashore park -- not that I had time or fellow hikers to do them with (except one quarter-mile trail), but they were so tantalizing! I just love exploring trails and I hadn't hiked on sand since I was younger and went on a day-long hike in the Sinai desert.

Plymouth Rock (what's left of it after a few centuries of tourists chipping off pieces and museums hauling away chunks) was so small it was cute.

There is no shortage of candy shops and ice cream shops in the Cape Cod area (gained four pounds :eek: )

Today we did a cave tour. I did it, but my knee did not behave well.

Then we walked around the little town, checking out the graveyard where the Spousal Equivalent's great-great-grandfather is buried.

He was a "traveling preacher" for the American Methodist Episcopal Church who rode around Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia founding churches AND getting arrested by both the North and the Confederacy because they were convinced he was a spy.

He founded a church here and then died and was buried here.

I also, of course, popped into the shops and antique emporiums but didn't buy anything. Not because I didn't see anything I liked, mind you, 'cause I did indeed see MANY things I liked. No, it was because I would have had to find a rich old boyfriend to indulge me....boy, was that stuff expensive! No rich old boyfriends hanging around so I have to stick with the one I have....
 
Afternoon all, yesterday morning, Marcia&Dave picked me up a bit earlier than the regular 10am time
We came to church around 9:15 were setting up goodies/light snacks for our weekly 'meet& mingle' gathering after worship service Each week church members volunteer to do this, I was the sponsor{ gave Marcia a check to cover the expenses} her&Dave. We had sorts of light snacks, e.g crackers,gluten free cookies, carrots/tomatoes, macaroons. Marcia made the cookies, cheese balls with a pretzel stick. Dave had cut up fresh fruit we put into small plastic cups with spoons,iced tea mixed with lemonade, water. It was a lot of work for them ahead of time.Everybody was impressed by what they ate& saw
Afterwards when we were coming home, Marcia asked if I wanted to see my 'buddy boy' Tage{ pharoh hound} "of course'. I helped bring in the bags, as soon as I walked into the kitchen, Tage heard my voice, got excited,tail wagging. After helping put things away, I went over to the sofa sat down next to him rubbed his stomach,he licked my nose&then put his head on my shoulder.We each had half egg salad sandwich,had a relaxing conversation,20 min later,Marcia drove me home and again thanked me for my help,sponsoring them
 
Have been post processing images since returning Friday from my 4-day redwoods road trip. Well 3-days of semi-celebrating and food binging too. Will start html coding now. This next weekend is a big local free outdoor live music event with a list of bands on several stages. So 5 days to quietly get my system back in balance.

Well maybe not Thursday as may at short notice if weather appears optimal to do a 300 mile round trip north to a section of coastline with melange geology that created rare beaches with colored stones and pebbles. When freshly surf washed over, glistening natural gems, no other photographers seem aware of. Below is a downsized for web version of a stones close-up subject from there in the past.

The redwoods road trip was so successful that am already making plans to return in about 10 days if weather cooperates again as is currently tentatively forecast, with workable low breezes. In the short 3 day window, I barely had time to make a dent in what is there, especially sandy beach plant close-up photography. But then another 900 mile road trip is a lot of expensive gasoline and the long drive requires a mental effort. Below is a downsized for web version of one beach subject I just completed post processing. Shows delicious beach strawberry, Fragaria chiloensis, that grow sparsely on several California beaches. The rose flower at frame lower left is a silky beach pea, Lathyrus littoralis, The wind smoothed salt and pepper sand creates an outstanding background for isolated elements in the sand.

The below is a 100% pixels crop from the above image showing the actual detail of the 6150 by 4100 pixel full image. Those little red wild strawberries can be intensely sweet. The darker than average sand, also to warm nicely in mid day sunshine allowing pleasant beach experiences, even though the air temperatures may just be in the 60Fs. Well as long as it is also not a breezy day haha.

Going to my new Doctor today..this is my third visit with her..Hope she has her patience hat on. ha!
Because I do want to go!

I know she is going to suggest more testing for things I have already been diagnosed with and take medication for.
I know it is for my health and wellbeing.

Leaving for hospital for surgical post op. Scared. Two weeks ago was hospitalized when I went to similar appointment. Very nervous. Aide coming with me or else I wouldn’t go. So exhausted from being afraid all the time. My Mental state is shot. I’m a wreck. I want to be left alone for awhile.
 
Morning all, as I was opening my blinds around 6:30,I should had my sun glasses on because the sun was shining brightly into my living room. A couple days ago, we had our windows washed,the sun looked even brighter. At 6:50 early walk temp was cool 35,but refreshing no wind as I walked behind 3 buildings to their front driveways, walked down around our building complex before breakfast
My plans today, taking the Gates van at 1 with 2 other residents to local grocery store -Wegmans. Every time the 3 of us go together, we're done within 25 min. The rest of my day ck out todays lunch/dinner menu,do NYT crossword puzzle online, we didn't get our NYT delivered today for some reason,read my book
I hope to take an afternoon walk

Afternoon peeps of SF.... it's raing towards 2pm...☀️ I'm not long back from the dentist, had to have a filling... *ugh*.... I'm still numbed up... I always shake like a jelly in the dentists chair, it's embarassing

The sun is shining☀️ today altho' breezy which is making it feel chilly.. 15 deg ...

I'm going to attempt a bit of a declutter of my 3 door built in wardrobe... I have such a lot of stuff....

The problem is my Kia is so small unlike my late lamented Ford Fusion... so taking things to the Charity shop usually means quite a few trips , and with parking so difficult in town, it does kinda put me off.. but I must do it...

Today will be day two at the new house. Yesterday we hauled three loads from this house to the new...and it pretty much was just stuff that lives in closets. I had a bad headache...and apparently it was 110 degrees out. We will not totally move till middle of next month...so all this is just prep. And...the new house has a pool. At 110 even I the pretty much non swimmer will be in that pool.... today i paint closets.
