Learning How To Live Life

@MarciKS & @katlupe, I was going over some of the threads I follow & I have quite a few that Rose either started or posted a lot on. I was hoping they would go on, but it doesn't look like that may happen.

I also miss her ... doesn't seem the same to me.
I have a hard time going into her threads. Or even seeing them pop up in the list. I'm hoping that will ease with time.

Well for some reason I am having issues getting into my Paramount+ account. I can't even log in on the laptop at all. I spent 45 min. with a tech that couldn't help me. I played hell getting Paramount to load so that I could watch Dutton Ranch last night. Not sure what is going on. Microsoft is acting hinky too. I can't find another streaming service that has anything I want to watch. I saw nothing in the tv series section of the Netflix library that even looked familiar. So IDK. Might just hafta go back to the free apps and forget about it.

Got woke up briefly a couple times this morning. Not sure if it was just the neighbor or the kid. Nothing serious thank God. Everyone was gone when I got up. I am gonna try to get a couple more box fans. I got another old one that needs to be pitched. I can put one in the living room and a 3rd fan in the bedroom. Seemed to help having 3 going on high last night.

Anyway, not as irritable today but the whole Paramount+ thing makes me mad cuz it's part of my Walmart+ service and I can't even use it. I read Peacock isn't much better which is also what they offer. They allow us to choose a streaming service every 90 days. Maybe I should switch to Peacock for a while. IDK.

Looking at the internet there appears to be a Microsoft outage from 3 days ago. Maybe that's why I can't get into my Paramount account. As long as I can still do my gaming I'm ok. If not I'll just have s**t fit. LOL!

Been in the 90s. They keep forecasting rain but not seeing any.

I wondered if it could have anything to do with the hot weather there. Of course, I don't know, but have heard that electronics are sensitive to heat.
Wouldn't affect anything in the house at 78 degrees.
There's something else going on. Something is down cuz everything else works fine. I can watch paramount on the mobile app. So idk. I got logged into the browser on my phone which is google. Will try the laptop and the TV when I get home. *Shrugs*

Good Morning, Marci! I have been watching a YT channel about vanlife and this guy is from Nebraska. That is where you are, right? I have driven through it but never really visited it. He showed some really beautiful parks, rivers and dams. Anyway I was thinking about you when watching it. If I am wrong about that being where you live, sorry. I may have gotten that wrong.

Well, I guess I'm just gonna get woke up all the time because they don't know how to be quiet next door. This morning she is gone and I hear a guy with a kid next door. They've done nothing but stomp back and forth through the apt so I was pissed when I got woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. I got 3 fans on high and had the bedroom and bathroom doors closed and all I can hear and feel is bam bam bam bam back and forth. If I get a chance to talk to her again I'm gonna ask her if her and her friends can be a little quieter in the mornings.

I still wanna text the landlord something rude cuz I'm mad he put them in here next to me.

Oh Nooo!!! Landlord had no way of knowing they would be like that, though. So maybe she has a boyfriend staying there, too? That may violate the lease?

How does a person not know a 5 yo child is gonna be noisy plus she talks loud herself? He just wanted to get it rented cuz he upped it to 850 a month.

No boyfriend. She has several friends and always seems to need people to stay over with her on the weekends. There was 2 cars here last night and one had a guy and two teenage girls and I don't know who was in the other car. So at least 4 people here last night. Her daughter didn't seem to be here.

Does your area have a noise ordinance? You may want to check on that since some places do. If they are making noise during those hours, you have an option to call the police. Even if there isn't such an ordinance, they are reasonable hours for "noise", like anything after 9 PM at night or earlier than 8 or so AM.

In my old neighborhood when I was a kid, there had a family who would put their stereo speakers on the front porch in the afternoon & blast Conway Twitty for all to hear. Needless to say, even though most listened to country music there, no one wanted to hear it from them & everyone called the police & they finally got the hint.

My SIL had a noisy neighbor who everyone was calling on & they were finally warned to stop or move. Even my SIL was warned & had to put an anti-bark collar on her Chihuahua for barking during the day whenever anyone was in the hallway.

I agree the landlord should have known a 5-yo will make noise whether they have kids or not ... especially when there is company visiting.

Does any of the other neighbors have a problem with her?

@Lilac
It's not noisy enough to warrant calling the police. And I'm getting woke up after 8 am. The cops would laugh in my face and I don't want to start a war with her. I am trying to find a solution. Earplugs won't stop me from feeling the floor shake when they're stomping through the place like a herd of elephants. I will try one last time when I see her again to request that they be quieter in the mornings before noon. If that doesn't work then when I get home at night I will just turn the tv up where I can hear it and carry on as if nobody lives next door.

Maybe the first time her daughter doesn't get enough rest and is a pita in the morning before school she'll settle down. Idk and Idc anymore. I keep hoping I'll get used to it somehow but, it's not likely.

it's just us. it's a duplex.

Maybe I'll luck out and start going deaf soon. Although that still wouldn't stop the floor from vibin when they walk like sasquatch.

Taking the time to talk to her & explaining your work hours is the way to go & I hope it works. She should understand not everyone works 9 to 5, Monday through Friday with weekends & holidays off.

Even when my daughter was little, she wasn't allowed to run like a herd of buffalo through the house or scream ... there's an inside voice & outside voice.
