What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

It's such a fun, rather silly movie, @StarSong; I hope you check it out.
Oh, I will for sure. I like a lot of what Toni Collette has done and was familiar with the movie title, but didn't connect the two. Watching the trailer made me realize I"d never seen it.

I've enjoyed many good shows and movies recommended by SF members on this thread and the one about series (and often movies) people are streaming. Most recently, "Remarkably Bright Creatures." I'd intended to watch it and was further encouraged by this thread's positive reviews.

Since I haven't been to the movies forever and I don't get Direct TV, when I do watch movies, it's usually an older movie on Roku. The last movie(s) I saw was Secondhand Lions with Robert Duvall and Michael Cane and A Family Thing with Robert Duvall and James Earl Jones. If you can't tell, Robert Duvall is one of my favorite actors.
Super movie!!! 😁

Greenland 2: Migration. I didn't care for this at all. I don't like apocalypse-type films in general; life is stressful enough, in my opinion. However, I watched Greenland when it was available to stream and found it mildly enjoying, so I gave this sequel a try.

It's an almost exact repeat of the original, with the protagonists constantly racing around trying to avoid showers of comets, radioactive storms, malevolent crowds fighting for survival, and such. It was almost physically exhausting to watch. Meh.

As far as I know they are just good friends, that it is just a rumur.

Meryl Streep’s husband is Don Gummer, is a renowned contemporary sculptor.
The couple married in September 1978 and have been married for over four decades,
They have four children.
Actually Streep and Gummer split up 8-9 years ago. And Short is a widower.

Based upon this story in today's N.Y. Post the couple appears to be romantically linked (more than just friends):
Meryl Streep and Martin Short prove romance is still going strong with ‘tender’ London dinner date

In my continuing quest to watch classic films that I've never seen before, I finished Breakfast at Tiffany's earlier. As with Casablanca, I'm probably the last person here on SF, and the world in general, to have seen it. I liked it. Mickey Rooney's portrayal of Mr. Yunioshi was even cringier than I'd read about, but I still enjoyed it.

"Moon River" was my parents' wedding song, and my father had it played at my mother's funeral nearly 21 years ago. I had to pause the film at one point because I found the lyrics so touching (i.e., I was crying). I knew the song was coming, but I'd never really listened to the lyrics before; most versions I've heard have been instrumental. I texted my dad down in Florida to share that. I didn't want to make him sad, but he seemed glad to share the memories.
