Did anyone get hit hard with any bad weather yesterday?
We got a decent thunderstorm last evening & high winds, but no damage. Power for some reason went out this morning for about 30 minutes & came back on. Internet was out for a bit longer.

@Lilac the weather hasn't been bad but we are still getting isolated storms. I've been watching some storm chaser stuff on HBO Max I think. They showed people caught in derechos which are the largest and most destructive tornadoes in existance. They were caught in their vehicles or in places with little protection. Pretty scary stuff.

First off I appreciate the concern for me being gone. I just needed a couple days away from the forum. I was just so disgusted by the 2 threads where people were arguing about religion and christian posts. It was sickening. I was also rather disappointed in a couple people that I normally would've expected better from. I do from time to time share my online church services that I watch. I am Christian. I can't remember the date I got saved without looking at my baptism card which is tucked away in a storage container in the closet.
I just know it's been a while. And I am a better person for it. But I am not perfect. I've been dealing with a lot of (not sure anger is the right word) irritation. Online, at home and at work. I don't understand why everyone gets so worked up at the mention of God. For me he is my beloved Father. I experience great joy in my walk with him despite the things going on around me. But I think humans are driven to mock things they don't understand. Sadly.
They had a job fair yesterday at work. They saw a couple that interested them for our dept but it was otherwise dead when I wandered in to tell the supervisor about a room that needed Orkin. I don't know how they think we're gonna find staff cuz frankly, it's one of the better paying places in town but they treat staff like crap.
It is overcast and in the mid 60s. Might storm tonight and maybe tomorrow. I might just say the heck with it and play my games regardless. I've sat here all week not playing video games cuz of the stupid weather. I'm done. I wanna play. If it takes out the tv and the Xbox then I'll go buy a Nintendo Switch 2 and go blind playing video games.
I had a burger and fries the other day from Chili's. Best burger I've ever had. We got to talking about the little burger place in town with the smelly burgers yesterday. They were using a 100 yr old seasoned grill and the burgers smelled like rotten feet but they tasted soooooooo good. They went up to $1.69 and they're sliders. I guess they took the old grill to the dump and had bought a new grill and it wasn't the same and the customers went batsh*t. So they went back out to the dump and retrieved the old grill. Cleaned it up and they're still using it.
All I can say is eww! However I got to thinking if that grill ever finally kicks the bucket they're gonna either go outta business or hafta become another kind of burger place or restaurant in general. People eat outside cuz the burgers smell so bad. I brought some home with them hanging out the car window and ate them on the porch one day. LOL!
Working today. Off the weekend. Need to do housework. Gaming and then I work Memorial day.

I don't understand either why there are people who get worked up over religion either. Let others express their beliefs & have a discussion if they want to. You can make your thoughts known, but if you don't agree with the thread just move to another or start your own with your version. I know I'm not perfect either, but I try to do my best & have no problem at all with Him helping me from above. Too many like to stir the pot & find enjoyment doing that ... guess that is how they find happiness which is really pretty sad IMO.
That smelly burger place sounds like a place I'd like to try. I love old restaurants & diners who cook the way they've always done. I'm glad to hear they got the original grill back with it up & working. Like the saying "If it's not broke, don't fix it!" ... sounds like they didn't realize what they had.
So many small eateries in our area over the years have closed down because no one wanted to take over the business or lack of business from the area changing. I got "smart" & have been saving the menus I had or could find on line from them. The one menu I'm still looking for is a deli that made great sandwiches. I would have loved to have had some of the recipes these restaurants used, but the menu describing the food may help me recreate the item if I ever get the gumption to do it. I wonder how much of the food was made from memory in those kitchens?

Morning. I slept til 1pm. Yay! I'm waiting on a few things from Dillons supermarket and then I'm gonna take my meds and order some take out. I think have another episode of Elsbeth to watch. I think it's the season finale. Whose been watching Dutton Ranch so far?
I had planned on cleaning but last night was so bad that I am hurting like hell this morning so I'm not doing anything. We'll see how I feel later. Or even tomorrow. IDK yet. I'd settle for a half a**ed cleaning for myself.
I'm going to restart the Cyberpunk game. Apparently I was supposed to get arrested at the beginning of the game so I'm giving it another go. Probably play some Fortnite too.
The little neighbor girl will be home from daddy's house tomorrow. We'll see how the mornings go. Hopefully she can keep the girl under control a little better. *Prays*
