Gentle posts for gentle folks

Outside my window, are a few plants that we got a few days ago. Still in the temporary pots they came in.

Would any of you like to volunteer to plant any of them?😊😉😁

I always like to hear which specific plants that others of you are planting, such as @Pam
So I thought I'd mention mine. 😀

One is a purple cone flower/echinacia, and 2 are Coreopsis with different petals from each other, and 1 is a guaillardia blanket flower.

What do any of you have in your garden, or what was a favorite that you once had or like?

Good morning from a very sunny and warm corner of north west Engand. Fingers crossed that I can tempt Rocco to go to the park with me this morning. :D🤞

Hope your headache has cleared @Medusa. As someone who used to get migraines (stopped after menopause) but still gets headaches now and again, I can empathise. 🤗

I hadn't heard of the blanket flower @Kaila so I looked it up, very pretty! I will be going to Aldi tomorrow as usual to see if they have any new plants in. In the meantime, this is a photo I took this morning when I went out to 'inspect' my plants. Of course I would be happy to do some planting for you Kaila... if you're willing to pay my air fare. ;)

Happy Friday everyone.
@Kaila - I’m glad you got an appointment for your dear husband. I’m sure it was worth the wait. If I lived closer I’d be happy to help you plant your flowers. For now I can just cheer you on.

@Pam - Your pansies look gorgeous. It must have been nice having your son help you move some stuff around for you. Give Rocco a pet for me.

@Medusa - I’m sorry you suffer from migraines. A really good friend of mine suffered from them also. He’d have a wicked headache that lasted for days and all he could do was lay down until it was gone. He’d hibernate in the basement and cover all the windows from the sun.

@CallMeKate - We are close in height. I’m 5’7”. I like having a bit of height. Sorry you lost that inch. I’ll probably lose an inch also.

This message is for everyone visiting this thread today.

Good Afternoon, Kaila and Friends. 🤗 :coffee: 🐝

Thank you, @Kaila; I did get better sleep last night. That is amaze news about your tree; what a cool thing to do!

I had to take another pill this morning, but the good news is that it worked and my migraine didn't come back later in the day. Thank you for asking after me, you lovely, kind people. :)

@Pam, glad for you that your migraines stopped! Your flowers are very pretty. 💐

@Kaila, I hope your therapy went well today and was beneficial, intense as it was. Wishing you good rest. 🤗

You guys want some coffee, right? (Rhetorical, of course).

Good morning, Kaila & Friends! I'm writing on a rainy Saturday, but I won't let that fact prevent a great day. I'm heading out for groceries in a little while and then not sure what I'll be doing the rest of the day, but a load of laundry will have to be part of it. I hope everyone is doing well today. Any special plans for Memorial Day 🇺🇸 (to our U.S. friends) ?

Good morning, Kate!
My plan, today, is to put several items into  your laundry, and to wait for you to bring my grocery order. 😉😊😁😄🥰

Good afternoon everyone. Went to Aldi at just turned 8 am. Got two different plants. A single nemesia wisIey vanilla and a pack of 6 marigolds. I also bought a solar powered blue tit. :D As I don't have a garden that attracts birds when I saw the solar blue tit, I just had to buy it. 🐦

To answer your question re pansies @Kaila - yes I do call them pansies although I think those in my photograph are labelled as violas, which are slightly smaller, but I just generally call them pansies.

Son and grandson are coming round soon, they are going away tomorrow for a few days so it will be nice to see them before they go.

Hope you are not as exhausted today @Kaila 🤗🥕

I looked up the nemesia wisley vanilla,😉😊
And it looks lovely and dainty.

The blossoms remind me of snapdragons, which stand taller and more upright. One of my old favorites, they were.
I think it said they're botanical cousins but I've forgotten, now. 🙄☺️😄

Like you, we call violas pansies, too, but I thought perhaps you'd actually call something, a viola, there. 😄

----
I was nearly as exhausted today as I was yesterday, but not quite.
Managed to put water in the flower pots, outside the door. And seed in the bird feeder.

I hope you've all had a pleasant evening.

Good morning from a very sunny and warm north west corner of England. Am about to go into the yard and pot those plants I bought yesterday. The yard gets the morning sun so it should be very pleasant out there.

@Kaila - I too had to look up the nemesia and you are quite right, they are related to snapdragons. I'd love to get some of them, as a young child always seem to remember them in gardens! I am going to the hospital on Wednesday about my hearing aid so I might call in at the garden centre on the way home and see if they have any.

I'll try and remember to take some photos to post on here later. :D

Have a good day everyone. 🥕

coffee ice cream, was it? Or is my memory failing and that was someone else?
Hagen Daz coffee ice cream. Yumm!
Save some for me. 😁

I call them pansies also even though I know they are called violas. They are so adorable.

Oops. Posted that too soon.
I have a cute picture to add.

@Kaila - I hope you don’t do too much especially on a Sunday. Sunday is a day for resting. I don’t want you hurting yourself.
Did you plant your pansies?

That was very kind of you. Thank you, Patty. 💗

I did overdo, a little, today. 🙄
But got a couple of perrenial plants into our garden, before the rains, so they can get watered in that way.
We both participated, and we're Okay.

Haggen-Dasz coffee ice cream, it's exactly my favorite one. 😁😄😃
