Thank you so much for offerng rides to those who need help. Thankfully I can still drive and have transported others but who knows for how long.
 
Rise and shine. It's daylight in the swamp!

Still no rain in our neighborhood, just all around us. More of the same today. That is, more of no rain in our neighborhood. The radar screen says it's raining. It's not just the weathernerds lying to us, it's the radar, too.

True confession: I stepped into the garden at 6am to check on the flowers that were planted or transplanted yesterday. At 6am even the plants aren't awake :)so I was very, very quiet. They all made it through the heat yesterday and through the night.

I dunno what's on the agenda for today. Maybe nothing.
 
Good Morning folks!! well it is starting off cloudy, but hope it
will change, 59deg F right now, into 70's later...slept fairly well
and woke to almost no pain in my foot yayayay....Today is
caregiver day, I am not used to having someone come in every
week....did not accomplish anything of note yesterday, may give
that a try again today LOL....have a good day!!! ;):cool::love::coffee::devilish:
 
I've been harvesting DHs garlic. He planted it in November. It's in batches of different types and I'm checking it everyday.
I'm hanging it from the greenhouse frame to dry in the sun then bringing into the sunroom in laundry baskets to dry some more. Next is hanging in the garage.
He liked to grow a lot and share. 😇

Morning gang!
I put myself in time out for a couple days. Doing ok. Getting ready for work. I'm off this weekend and have plans to clean the kitchen and bath. We'll see how far I get. Then I plan to play video games. I will order a couple things from Dillons via DoorDash. Might order some take out. I don't know yet. I work Memorial Day.

I took 2 neighbors who can't drive to the store and what a joyful experience that was.
The gentleman was playfully flirting with the lady in the car and had me laughing so much
listening to the 2 of them. He is one quick witted fella. They have been a door apart for 18
years and he is yet to even get a smooch on her cheek, but he still keeps trying.
What a delightful way to spend a cloudy yuck day.

Well, I guess my care ladies took a holiday!!! No one showed up
today, and the other one didn't call to check on me like usual, poor me LOL,,,
 
@hawkdon How dare they? I was thinking maybe something to do with the holiday weekend except that holiday isn't until Monday. Hmm.

I've been out and sprayed the glads with insecticidal soap because something is getting to them and while they have buds, nothing is opening. Darned bugs! They're about as useful as the weeds :mad: .

According to the radar it's raining on us, has been for more than an hour and is expected to last all day. Sure.
 
Happy Saturday, friends!

Yesterday DH and I took the older of our two little GSs —he's four—on a couple of hour (each way) train trip. He was in heaven, as were we.

Train travel is so wonderfully relaxing... none of the hustle-bustle, crammed-in, unpleasantness of air travel. Giving credit where it's due, air travel is far less expensive, and exponentially faster for long distance trips.

Perhaps when/if we fully retire we'll take a cross-country train trip. Can't say I have a travel bucket list, but if I did, that would be near the top.
