I have been watching the start of the race for the "White House", reading
what little news we get about it over here.
It seems that you are going to get only two choices, one from each party,
are there no others that appeal?
Do you never have independent politicians standing for the Presidency, must
they always be the ones chosen by the parties?
I know very little about your American Politics, though some did try to explain
it to me here, a few years ago.
Does money always determine who is chosen?
Can a charismatic candidate ever be chosen over the one that can afford the
TV Ads and have a big retinue of volunteers that knock doors?
To me from a distance there seems to be no rules or control, a fairer system
would be to make a limit an the amount allowed to be spent on any campaign.
You all must accept it as it is or there would be a lot of noise to get it changed.
I will keep watching as things unfold.
I hope that you get who you want and that they are a good and fair President.
Mike.
