A prize for you if you can name this performer!

Sorry, no prize for you, but if you don't show up more often, Lisa might make a visit to sort you out...

You win! And you won The Ralphy Recognition Award For Pop Culture! Congratulations!

Buddy Holly was another seminal force but not the choice of Elvis. Roy Orbison was good but not great. No prizes for either of you...

You must be on the young side, as I remember that music and liked a lot of it...

The rich diversity of life's choices Ralphy. I am more than happy for you to like Elvis even if I did not. Orbison however I can listen to any time and any place and never tire of doing so. But what I dislike in music most is Jazz and Big Bands of the 1940 era.
Roy Orbison WAS the best and would have blown Elvis right out of the water had he been good looking, but he was plain and we live in a superficial world. Elvis was popular for his looks. Elvis never wrote his music. Roy was a singer songwriter and his voice was amazing.

Elvis sang every kind of music there was, Roy couldn't even come close. Go to Graceland and worship the King like he deserves...

Me-thinks Ralphy is trying to wind us up BW. One word for Elvis comes to mind "Corny".

You kidding, the "Heartbreak Hotel" would be a drive too far and that was the one song I did like and remember. Most like as I lost my virginity while it was playing:D
