Anybody here like "Sloppy Joes"

I just chopped and browned a pound of lean ground beef and then poured in a can

of Hunts "Manwich". Ya spoon some on a hamburger bun and enjoy.

That's dinner for tonight. Wash 'em down with a Pepsi. YUM !

About once a year I get yearning for a taste of manwhich, just a bit too spicy for me these days, but such a quick easy meal to have once in a blue moon. :)

I haven't had one since I was a kid living at home.....I guess that pretty much means I don't really miss them. :)

We used to have them once in awhile at school. The meat was shredded, not ground. I haven't had one since then, but I used to love them!

We have those probably once a month. A quick easy meal even if the burger is frozen. I use tomato soup, mustard and celery and onions. As long as we have buns we're good for a meal or two.

That was our lunch for the family this past Easter..eating.gif

Had them as a kid, was a contest with my brother who could be the sloppiest Sloppy Joe :D

Now that you mention it, heading to the grocery, where is that Manwich aisle? :D

I don't like the straight canned Manwich anymore. It's a lot sweeter than it used to be. But I like my own version - add a little taco seasoning and throw on some shredded cheese. Nomwich.

There is a cafe' called Annies in Denver that has the BEST idea for a meal. Six "Sliders" ...which are very small sloppy joes...about two bites a piece...and they are SO good! Served with fries or tato chips. hmmmm....think I might make some this week! :)

Never ever had one, but since they are made with ground beef which I don't eat, I would consider trying it with veggie ground round sometime.
